The School Mass Celebration under the School Spiritual and Moral Recovery Program was held on July 24, 2026 at Daniel Maramba National High School. The Eucharistic Celebration was attended by Grade 8 students, teachers, and school personnel and was presided over by Rev. Fr. Dexter Z. Cariño.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. Dexter reminded the learners that, "We study not for grades, but for life." He emphasised that education is not only about achieving high marks but also about developing good character, values, and wisdom that will guide them throughout their lives. He further encouraged the school community to give students the space they need to grow, learn from their experiences, and become the best versions of themselves.

To make the celebration more engaging, Rev. Fr. Dexter also interacted with the congregation through a light-hearted surprise recitation. He invited the three lectors who had served during the Mass, along with one teacher, to answer a question, bringing smiles and laughter while reinforcing the message of his homily.

Through this meaningful celebration, the school community was reminded that true education extends beyond academic achievement. The Mass inspired everyone to pursue knowledge with purpose while living a life rooted in faith, compassion, and integrity.

The first school Mass for School Year 2026–2027 at Daniel Maramba National High School was held on June 30, 2026. The Eucharistic Celebration was sponsored by the TLE Department and attended by the Grade 7 learners together with their teachers. The Holy Mass was presided over by Rev. Fr. JP Torres.

In his homily, Rev. Fr. JP Torres shared a meaningful lesson on the proper way of making the Sign of the Cross. Instead of simply memorizing the words, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,” he encouraged the learners to understand its deeper meaning. He explained that when touching the forehead, it means, “My mind belongs to God.” When touching the chest, it means, “My heart belongs to God.” Finally, when touching both shoulders, it signifies, “My actions and my life belong to God.”

Through this simple yet meaningful explanation, the learners were reminded that the Sign of the Cross is not just a routine prayer but a commitment to dedicate their thoughts, feelings, actions, and entire lives to God. The celebration served as a spiritual guide and a meaningful way to begin the new school year, encouraging everyone to live with faith, discipline, and love for God in their daily lives.
