Holy Cross College’s Teacher Education Program brought together 3rd and 4th-year BEEd and BSEd students for the seminar titled “MATATAG Curriculum: Looking Beyond Competencies and Preparedness of Future Educators,” with Dr. Rigette Ryan S. Ramos, EdD as the guest speaker.

Joined by VPAA Dr. Leticia D. Flores, Program Chairs, and the IPTE and ABAKADA officers, the event provided valuable insights into the evolving education landscape. Some of the key topics discussed included updates on the MATATAG curriculum, hiring processes, and salary grades for future educators.

The seminar empowered aspiring teachers to prepare for real-world opportunities and challenges while staying true to the values of Fides, Caritas, and Libertas.

The Institute of Professional Teacher Education (IPTE) and ABAKADA successfully conducted a Special Education Seminar titled “Fostering Differentiated Instruction for Diverse Learners.”

The seminar featured Mrs. Michelle M. Castro as the resource speaker, who shared her expertise on differentiated instruction and its significance in addressing the unique needs of diverse learners.

The seminar provided BEED and BSED students with meaningful insights and practical approaches that strengthen their understanding of inclusive and adaptive teaching practices.

Whether you’re from Elementary, JHS, SHS, or College, this is your chance to shine and celebrate the 80th anniversary of Holy Cross College! Put together your best moves, get creative, and show your team spirit on stage!

Registration Period:

Elementary: September 15 - October 15 (MS. MA. FATIMA FRANCO)
JHS: September 15 - October 15 (MS. JUAREN JOY GUTIERREZ)
SHS: September 15 - October 15 (MS. LYKA PARUNGAO)
College: September 15 - October 15 (MS. ANGELLA PAMINTUAN)

Pre-Selection:

Date: October 17, 2025
Location: HCC Gymnasium

Finals:

Date: November 27, 2025
Location: JHS Quadrangle

Mechanics:

Teams of 6-10 members (mix of boys & girls)
Teams should be formed by friendship
Performance duration: 5 minutes
Dance style options: Pop Dance, K-pop Dance, Modern Dance, or Hip-hop
Props allowed but must not interfere with the performance.

Judging Criteria (100 points total):

Creativity & Choreography: 30 points
Synchronization & Technique: 25 points
Energy & Stage Presence: 20 points
Costume & Theme Coherence: 15 points
Overall Impact: 10 points
