DepEd Strengthens School Safety Through Proper Bag Inspection Guidelines

In line with our strong commitment to provide a safe, secure, and child-friendly learning environment to all our learners, the Department of Education emphasizes the proper implementation of Bag Inspection Guidelines pursuant to DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026.

Schools are reminded that bag inspections shall be conducted with respect, fairness, and adherence to established protocols, ensuring the protection and well-being of learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and visitors while maintaining a positive school environment.

Bag inspections shall be conducted by authorized personnel. Non-contact inspection methods shall be observed whenever applicable to ensure dignity, privacy, and respect. All schools are expected to implement safety measures without compromising learners’ rights.

Let us work together in building schools that are not only places of learning, but mostly, are safe spaces for everyone.

On June 18, 2026, at 9:00 AM, Tacligan High School successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED), demonstrating its commitment to disaster preparedness and the safety of all learners, teachers, and personnel.

The activity was led by Mr. Jonas P. Lalongisip, School DRRM Coordinator, who ensured the proper conduct of the drill and reinforced the importance of preparedness, awareness, and quick response during earthquake emergencies.

Through the proper practice of the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and the observance of emergency protocols, the school community strengthened its readiness and awareness in responding to earthquake-related emergencies.

This activity serves as a reminder that preparedness saves lives and that everyone has a role to play in creating a safer and more resilient school environment.

The Parents and Students Orientation for School Year 2026–2027 was successfully conducted on June 10, 2026, at the Tacligan Elementary School Gym.

Important matters were discussed during the orientation, including the implementation of the 3-Term School Calendar, the Student Handbook highlighting school rules and regulations, and the School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Program to ensure the safety and preparedness of all learners.

Sa tulong ng ating mga g**o, magulang, mag-aaral at mga volunteers naging mas malinis, maayos, at kaaya-aya ang ating paaralan upang maging ligtas at komportable ang pag-aaral ng bawat isa.

Sa pagtatapos ng Brigada Eskwela 2026, taos-puso kaming nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng nakiisa at naglaan ng oras, lakas, at suporta upang maging handa ang ating paaralan para sa nalalapit na pagbubukas ng klase.

Sa loob ng limang araw, ipinakita ng ating mga g**o, magulang, mag-aaral, mga katuwang sa komunidad, at mga boluntaryo ang tunay na diwa ng bayanihan. Ang inyong mga ambag, gaano man kalaki o kaliit, ay naging mahalagang bahagi ng paghahanda para sa isang ligtas, malinis, at kaaya-ayang kapaligiran sa pagkatuto.

Bagama’t pormal nang nagtatapos ang Brigada Eskwela, ang ating sama-samang adhikain para sa de-kalidad na edukasyon ay magpapatuloy.

Maraming salamat sa inyong walang sawang suporta at pakikiisa. Sama-sama nating ihahanda ang daan tungo sa isang matagumpay na taong panuruan!
