Today, we proudly celebrate 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵-𝗩𝗼𝗰 𝗗𝗮𝘆, recognizing the importance of technical and vocational education in developing skilled, productive, and globally competitive Filipinos. This is a nationwide celebration in honoring the learners, educators, workers, and institutions that continue to promote the value of skills and technical-vocational training. 🛠️✨

By virtue of Republic Act No. 10970, signed into law on February 7, 2018, August 25 of every year is officially declared as National Technical-Vocational (Tech-Voc) Day throughout the country. The law recognizes the importance of technical-vocational education and its contribution to national development.

Through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Filipinos are given opportunities to develop practical skills, pursue employment, build livelihoods, and contribute to a stronger workforce. TESDA continues to promote quality TVET programs that help Filipinos become skilled, productive, and globally competitive.

May this day remind us that every skill, talent, and profession has the power to create opportunities and make a difference. Let us continue to value skills, embrace learning, and empower the Filipino workforce toward a brighter future. 🇵🇭🛠️

As part of the Nutrition Month Celebration, the PCSHS BAE Society successfully conducted NutriChef 2026: Masa-Wrap na, Masustansya Pa! on July 30, 2026, at Rooms 203 and 204.

Grade 11 and Grade 12 participants showcased their 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗼, demonstrating that nutritious food can also be delicious, creative, and budget-friendly. The competition provided students with an opportunity to develop and showcase their skills in 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Plant-a-Ponics Showcases Innovation in Sustainable Farming

In celebration of Nutrition Month 2026, the Plant-a-Ponics Competition (Hydroponic Pots) was successfully held on July 27, 2026, highlighting the creativity, innovation, and scientific skills of our students. Through the use of recycled materials and vegetable cultivation, participants designed functional hydroponic systems that promote sustainable, eco-friendly, and health-conscious gardening practices.

More than just a competition, Plant-a-Ponics served as a platform for learners to apply classroom knowledge to real-world environmental and nutritional solutions, reinforcing the importance of growing fresh and nutritious vegetables while caring for the environment.

The program was proudly hosted by the ABM Society, whose officers and members ensured the smooth and successful flow of the event.

The distinguished panel of judges consisted of Sir John Casey Pili, Ma’am Mary Anne Espectacion, Sir Kim Marjolino, Ma'am Russel Safra, and Sir Jerick Mabeza who evaluated the entries based on innovation, functionality, sustainability, and overall presentation.
