GSP Week 2026 – Day 1: Escoda Day 💚

Our school recently held a meaningful Girl Scout Investiture Ceremony to welcome new members and inspire a lifelong commitment to leadership and service.

The event brought together students, teachers, and proud parents to celebrate the core values of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines. Dressed in crisp green uniforms, the participants gathered for a morning filled with tradition, discipline, and community spirit.

Anchored on the theme of leadership, discipline, and readiness to serve, the ceremony officially marked the admission of new members—from the bright-eyed Twinklers and Star Scouts to the dedicated Junior Girl Scouts.

The event's success was made possible through the unwavering support of the school administration, led by our School Principal Mariel Y. Castillo, master teachers Emelita I. Sales and Jocelyn P. Oliveros, who delivered inspiring messages, our School GIrl Scout Coordinator Maria Cecilia T. Ortega and other troop leaders, Zenaida R. Zornosa, Ritchel N. Cuyos, Melody Rocabela and company. They emphasized that being a Girl Scout goes beyond wearing the uniform; it is a lifelong commitment to helping others without expecting anything in return.

As the ceremony concluded, the investiture was officially closed, but the meaningful journey of these young scouts has just begun. The school can look forward to seeing these newly invested Girl Scouts participate in community service, safety drills, and environmental projects in the coming months.

Kid Scout, Kab Scout, and Boy Scout Activity

San Pedro Central Elementary School successfully held a scouting activity for Kid Scouts, Kab Scouts, and Boy Scouts. The activity aimed to develop discipline, leadership, teamwork, responsibility, and a spirit of service among the pupils. Through various scouting activities, the scouts demonstrated cooperation, confidence, and the values of being responsible and helpful members of the school and community.

A heartfelt thank you to our supportive Principal, Mam Mariel Castillo; our dedicated Scout Leaders, Mrs. Wendelyn Gucon, Ms. Anjelly Berroya, and Mr. Charlie Pon-an; and our Investing Officer, Mr. Eduardo Olino Jr. We also extend our sincere gratitude to all the teachers and supportive parents for their time, guidance, effort, and unwavering support in making this activity meaningful and successful.

San Pedro Central Elementary School proudly kicked off the Teachers’ Month Celebration 2026 with a joyful and meaningful gathering dedicated to honoring the dedication, passion, and invaluable contributions of our teachers.

The celebration was spearheaded by the Faculty Club Officers and the School Parent-Teachers Association (SPTA), whose support and effort made the occasion truly special.

The celebration was filled with fun games, good food, laughter, and meaningful bonding, giving our teachers a well-deserved opportunity to relax, connect, and simply enjoy each other’s company.

Adding excitement to the celebration was a special presentation by the 2nd Placer – DFOT 2026 Indak ng Lahi: Awit ng Lahi, showcasing the remarkable talent and artistry of our very own Batang Central!

More than a celebration, this was a reminder that behind every successful learner is a teacher who gives their time, heart, and unwavering dedication.

MES MID-YEAR PERFORMANCE REVIEW & RECOGNITION OF EXEMPLARY TEACHER PERFORMANCE
First Term | School Year 2026–2027

San Pedro Central Elementary School (SPCES) conducted its PMES Mid-Year Performance Review on September 9, 2026, at the Gabaldon Hall, SPCES, providing teachers an opportunity to reflect on their accomplishments, assess their progress, and identify areas for continued professional growth.

The activity also featured the Recognition of Exemplary Teacher Performance During the First Term of School Year 2026–2027, honoring teachers who demonstrated commitment, excellence, and meaningful contributions to the school community.

The activity was guided and led by PSDS Ma’am Merlina J. Placino and School Principal Ma’am Mariel Y. Castillo, with Henry P. Royo, Master Teacher I, serving as facilitator.

Together, we continue to uphold excellence and quality education for our Batang Central!

GABALDON HALL NG SAN PEDRO CENTRAL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, IDINEKLARANG CITY HISTORICAL LANDMARK!

Nilagdaan na ni Mayor Art Mercado ang City Ordinance No. 2026-21 na nagdedeklara sa Jose Martinez Sr. Hall (Gabaldon Hall) ng San Pedro Central Elementary School bilang City Historical Landmark ng San Pedro!

Ang deklarasyon ay ginawa bilang pagkilala sa natatanging halaga ng nasabing gusali sa kasaysayan at kultura ng ating Lungsod.

Sa ilalim ng nasabing ordinansa, maaring makipagtulungan ang City Government of San Pedro sa DepEd San Pedro City sa preserbasyon at pagtatampok ng gusali bilang isa sa mga mahahalagang yaman ng San Pedro, sang-ayon na rin sa Gabaldon School Buildings Conservation Act (Batas Republika Blg. 11194).

Ang Martinez Hall ay itinuturing na isa sa pinakamatandang gusaling pampaaralan sa San Pedro. Pinaniniwalaang itinayo ito noong 1912 batay sa Act No. 1801 na isinabatas ni Assemblyman Isauro Gabaldon ng Nueva Ecija, bilang tulong sa iba't ibang mga paaralan sa buong bansa. Sa loob ng maraming panahon ay ginamit ito ng ilang henerasyon ng mga San Pedrense bilang gusaling pampaaralan, at kinanlong nito sa ilang pagkakataon ang ilang sesyon ng noo'y Sangguniang Bayan ng San Pedro. Noong 1994, sa bisa ng Kapasyahan Blg. 63-94, ipinangalan ng Sangguniang Bayan ang gusali kay Jose Martinez Sr. na nagsilbing Punong-Bayan mula 1928 hanggang 1934, at muling isinaayos ng Department of Public Works and Highways batay sa RA 11194.

Bilang isa sa mga nakalista sa San Pedro City Local Cultural Inventory, nakatakdang ipadala ang kopya ng nasabing Ordinansa sa National Commission for Culture and the Arts bilang pagsunod sa mga itinatakda ng RA 11961.

Nagpapasalamat ang aming Tanggapan sa ating Sangguniang Panlungsod, lalo na sa mga kasapi SP Committee on Tourism, Culture, Arts and History na sina Konsehal Gius Castasus, Kent Lagasca, Abam Cataquiz, Iryne Vierneza, at Leslie Lu sa pagsusulong ng aming panukalang ito, gayundin ang DepEd San Pedro at ang ating Pamahalaang Lungsod sa kanilang ipinakitang suporta.
