The Extension Office, in collaboration with the Center for Gender Equality and Development (CGED), successfully conducted the two-day program, "Advancing Extension Excellence: Strategic Planning and Implementation of the Extension Program of Non-Teaching Personnel." The initiative brought together DLSP's non-teaching personnel to strengthen sustainable, gender-responsive, and community-centered extension programs while reaffirming the institution's commitment to meaningful public service.
๐ Day 1 | June 26, 2026 | Dolores Elementary School
The program officially commenced with "DALUBDAMAYAN: DLSP's Medical and Dental Mission and Health Education for Grade 4 Learners of Dolores Elementary School." Under the leadership of Mrs. Hilda E. Balaaldia*, Principal of Dolores Elementary School, the outreach activity successfully provided free medical and dental services, health education, and school supplies to Grade 4 learners.
Medical and dental services were rendered by Dr. Caren Navata-Jose, School Physician; Dr. Joselito S. Reyes, School Dentist; and Ms. Madeline F. Reyes, RN, School Nurse. Health education sessions were facilitated by volunteer BS Nursing graduates Aira Kalaw, Janna Ricci Larona, and Cyrill Perry De Luna, who conducted engaging discussions on oral health and age-appropriate personal hygiene, including proper ge***al care, to promote healthy habits among the learners.
The activity was graced by the presence of Dr. Preciosa D. Villacruel, LPT, College President; Dr. Sigfredo C. Adajar, LPT, College Administrator; Dr. Marc Lester F. Quintana, RN, Vice President for Research and Extension; Dr. Cartney C. Lagaya, MBM, CHMP, Extension Director; and Mr. Elibert O. Singson, Director for Administrative Services. Their presence reaffirmed DLSP's unwavering commitment to community engagement, collaboration, and service. The program was hosted by Mr. Alvaro T. Dioquino Jr., who served as the Master of Ceremonies.

The second day focused on enhancing the knowledge, skills, and planning capabilities of DLSP's non-teaching personnel through a series of informative sessions and collaborative workshops.

Gender-Responsive Extension Programs and Services was presented by Mr. Mark Francis P. Donato, Director of the Center for Gender Equality and Development (CGED), highlighting the importance of integrating gender-responsive principles into extension initiatives.

Extension Accomplishment Report (Years 1โ3) was presented by Ms. Sharen Boticario, former Non-Teaching Personnel Extension Coordinator, showcasing the program's accomplishments, milestones, best practices, and significant contributions over the past three years.

Strategic Planning Workshop for Future Extension Programs was facilitated by Dr. Cartney C. Lagaya, MBM, CHMP, Extension Director, guiding participants in formulating sustainable, responsive, and high-impact extension initiatives aligned with institutional goals and the evolving needs of partner communities.
The second day's program was hosted by Mr. Wilkester Pujanes, MBM, who served as the Master of Ceremonies.
This two-day initiative reinforced DLSP's culture of extension excellence by empowering its non-teaching personnel, strengthening institutional and community partnerships, and fostering social responsibility through collaborative, inclusive, and sustainable extension programs.
