Did you know that there are “earthquakes” in the sky? ☁️

Mysterious, loud booming sounds known as “skyquakes” have been reported coming from the atmosphere, and scientists still don’t have one clear explanation for what causes them.

These strange sounds can sometimes seem like a huge explosion or a distant boom, making them one of the many unexplained phenomena that continue to spark curiosity and scientific investigation.

The sky may be quiet most of the time, but there are still many mysteries above us waiting to be understood! Stay curious, keep learning, and never stop asking “Why?”

Did you know that water can stay liquid even below 0°C?

It sounds impossible, but pure water can actually remain in its liquid state below its normal freezing point when there are no dust particles or impurities for ice crystals to form. This fascinating phenomenon is called supercooling! 🧪🔬

But here's the cool part: once the supercooled water is disturbed, it can instantly freeze into ice! 🧊✨ This shows us that even something as ordinary as water can behave in surprising ways under the right conditions.

Science is full of unexpected phenomena! Stay curious, keep learning, and never stop asking “Why?”

"Igniting the spark of leadership and welcoming the new core of SciNatics!" 💙

The energy was truly electric as the College of Teacher Education (CTE) gathered for "ALAB SINAG 2026"! It was a day filled with passion, commitment, and new beginnings as we officially welcomed our vibrant first-year BSEd Science students to their new academic home. 🧪✨

The event also marked a historic moment for our organization as "The Nuclei"—the dynamic officers and student leaders of SciNatics—officially took their oath of commitment. Just like the nucleus serves as the core of every cell, driving energy and life, our student leaders are ready to serve as the heart and center of innovation, unit, and excellence for the A.Y. 2026–2027! ⚛️💙

To our freshies: Welcome to SciNatics! May your passion for science burn bright as you embark on this incredible journey. Together with The Nuclei, let’s make this academic year truly groundbreaking! 🚀

Ever heard that glass is just a very slow-flowing liquid? Think again! 🪟🔍

Many people believe old windowpanes are thicker at the bottom because the glass melted downward over centuries, but that's actually a widespread myth! Glass is an "amorphous solid"—it holds its shape and behaves strictly like a solid at normal temperatures. Those antique windows were simply made thicker on one side due to older manufacturing techniques, and builders usually installed the heavier edge at the bottom! 🏛️🧪

Think plants are just quiet and passive? Think again! 🍃💬

Plants actually communicate with one another! When attacked by pests, they release airborne chemicals and send signals through underground fungal networks—often called the "Wood Wide Web"—to warn neighboring plants so they can prepare their defenses. 🐛🌳

Nature is far more connected than it seems. Stay curious, keep learning, and never stop asking why. 💙🔬

Think the Sun is the hottest thing you'll encounter? Think again! 🌩️

A single lightning bolt can reach temperatures of 30,000°C—about five times hotter than the Sun's surface, which is around 5,500°C! ☀️

Science is full of surprises. Stay curious, keep learning, and never stop asking why. 💙🔬
