ADVISORY MULA SA KAGAWARAN NG EDUKASYON

Inanunsiyo ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon ang desisyon ng Pangulo na ilipat ang pagbubukas ng paaralan para sa taong-panuruan 2020-2021 mula Agosto 24, 2020 patungong Oktubre 5, 2020, sa bisa ng rekomendasyon ng Kalihim ng Edukasyon ukol sa mga implikasyon ng pagpapatupad ng Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) sa Metro Manila at sa mga probinsya ng Cavite, Laguna, Rizal at Bulacan.

Alinsunod ito sa Batas Republika 11480, na inamyendahan ang RA 7797, na nag-aatas sa Pangulo, mula sa rekomendasyon ng Kalihim ng Edukasyon, na magtakda ng pagbubukas ng klase na hihigit sa huling araw ng Agosto o sa buong bansa o sa ilang lugar kung saan may deklarasyon ng 'state of emergency' o 'state of calamity'.

Matapos komunsulta sa opisina ng Executive Secretary kung naangkop ang nasabing desisyon sa mga pribadong paaralan at mga paaralang hindi sakop ng Kagawaran, kinaklaro ng DepEd na ang mga pribadong paaralan o paaralang hindi sakop ng Kagawaran na nagsimula na ng kanilang klase, o nakatakdang magsimula ng klase sa Agosto 24, o iba pang petsa bago ang Oktubre 5, ay pinapayagang magpatuloy ngunit distance learning modalities ang gagamitin at ipinagbabawal pa rin ang face-to-face classes. Ang mga paaralang ito ay nararapat na magsumite ng mga kinakailangang dokumento sa mga Regional Director ayon sa DepEd Order No. 007, s. 2020 (School Calendar and Activities for School Year 2020-2021), at sa DepEd Order No. 013, s. 2020 at DepEd Order No. 017, s. 2020 na nauukol sa readiness assessment.

Good day GLC Parents and Guardians. Please check the following as your reference for our Online Class. Thank you! 😊

1) How will you conduct Online Class?
🔸Online Class will be conducted through Zoom Application. Parents are advised to install Zoom cloud, Edmodo, and Kahoot Applications

2) What will be the schedule of my child? Is it everyday?
🔸Online Class is everyday for Preschool and Elementary with shortened time to safeguard learners against too much exposure to gadgets.

3) Why do we need to use books?
🔸Books are for their exercises and seatworks. Teachers will also attach other seatworks in EDMODO application if needed

4) How about those with no internet access?
🔸The school will provide the Parent/Guardian modules, worksheets and other activities as part of our non technology based materials for learning.

5) How will you conduct your Exam?
🔸For Elementary Department, exam will be conducted online through EDMODO app
🔸For Preschool Department, it will be done through oral examination using Zoom app. Writing exam will be done once Community Quarantine is lifted.

6) Until when is the online class?
🔸If the Governement already allows schools to conduct physical (face to face) classes, we will follow.

7) Can we have Online Class for the rest of the School Year?
🔸The Online Class shall be observed throughout the duration of Community Quarantine.

8) How about Parents with children (siblings) enrolled in Online Class? We only have limited resources.
🔸Pupils can use mobile phones (smartphones) if PC or Laptop is not available.

9) Do we have an orientation before Online Classes will start?
🔸Yes. GLC will schedule an online orientation for both Parents and Pupils from June 15 - 20 (Monday - Saturday). This is for Parents who already pre-registered their child/children using the online enrollment form as posted in our official facebook accounts.
