May 22, 2026 — The 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬 – 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐒𝐏𝐂–𝐂𝐎𝐍) proudly celebrated 𝙉𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙨’ 𝙒𝙚𝙚𝙠 2026 through a series of academic and creative activities that highlighted the excellence, passion, and dedication of future nurses. Guided by this year’s theme, “𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙉𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙨. 𝙊𝙪𝙧 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚. 𝙀𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙬𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙉𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚𝙨 𝙎𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙨,” the celebration served as a meaningful reminder of the vital role nurses play as 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙨, and 𝙗𝙚𝙖𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙚 in every community. 🩺✨

The program formally began with an 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿 led by 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐚 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚, followed by the singing of the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 and the 𝗦𝗣𝗖 𝗛𝘆𝗺𝗻 through an audio-visual presentation, creating an atmosphere of 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙥𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚, and 𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. 🎶

To formally welcome everyone to the celebration, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐀𝐝𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞 𝐒. 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐧, Overall Chairman for Nurses Week Celebration 2026, delivered her inspiring 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀, emphasizing the importance of 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚, 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, 𝙘𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜, and 𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘 𝙜𝙧𝙤𝙬𝙩𝙝 among nursing students. 🌟📚

One of the major highlights of the celebration was the 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲, where selected representatives from different year levels showcased their mastery of nursing concepts, clinical reasoning, and teamwork. Eight groups courageously competed through the 𝙀𝙖𝙨𝙮, 𝘼𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚, and 𝘿𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙪𝙡𝙩 𝙍𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙨, demonstrating excellence and determination throughout the competition. 🧠🏆

The participating teams were proudly composed of:

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐃 — Sadsad, Lugada, Flores, and Alano;
𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐄 — Lava, Servo, Malto, and Panaligan;
𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐅 — Desamero, Manianlong, Maquiñana, and Constantino;
𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐆 — Icaro, Caraballido, Cuello, and Alina; and
𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐇 — Alvero, Panaglima, Montemayor, and Deriquito. 👏🏼📖

Ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the competition were the distinguished members of the 𝗕𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗝𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀, namely 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐥 𝐀. 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐣𝐚𝐧 and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐨𝐬𝐚, together with the tabulators, answer checkers, technical committee, documentation committee, and working committees who contributed to the smooth flow of the event. 🤍✨

Adding more excitement to the celebration was the recognition of outstanding student outputs through the 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 and 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, which showcased the students’ 𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙖𝙙𝙫𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙘𝙮, 𝙩𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠, and 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 in promoting the nursing profession. 🎥🎨

For the 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, the 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 was awarded to 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐’s “𝟏𝟐𝟎 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬, 𝟖𝟎𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫,” while the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 title was proudly awarded to 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝟐 for their entry entitled “𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲-𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞.” 🏅🎬

For the 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁, the 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗖𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 was awarded to 𝐋𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞 and 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐳 of Level 4, while the 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 was awarded to 𝐀𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐧𝐨 of Level 3. The 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 title was awarded to 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐨 of Level 3. 🖼️🏆

For the 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗤𝘂𝗶𝘇 𝗕𝗲𝗲, the 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 award was earned by 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐅 composed of 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝐊𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐨, 𝐀𝐢𝐫𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠, 𝐌𝐚. 𝐉𝐮𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞 𝐅. 𝐌𝐚𝐪𝐮𝐢ñ𝐚𝐧𝐚, and 𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐨. The 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 award was proudly received by 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐂 composed of 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐢𝐥 𝐌𝐚ñ𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐜, 𝐉𝐲𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐕𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐜𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐬, 𝐊𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐀𝐲𝐞𝐧 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐳, and 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐲𝐚 𝐃𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢. Emerging as the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 was 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐀 composed of 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐲𝐚𝐡 𝐂𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐚, 𝐑𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞 𝐉𝐨𝐲𝐜𝐞 𝐄𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐚, 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐚 𝐁𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐚 𝐄𝐧𝐫𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐳, and 𝐂𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐡𝐚𝐧, who demonstrated exceptional teamwork, confidence, and nursing competence throughout the competition. 🥇🎖️

Unity in motion, strength in every play—the 𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 Mixed Volleyball team delivered a dynamic and high-energy performance during 𝙂𝙄𝙇𝘼𝙎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. With powerful spikes, precise sets, and seamless teamwork, they showcased not only their athletic ability but also the strong coordination and trust built within the team. 🏐🔥

More than just a game, their performance reflected the true essence of 𝙘𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, and 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥—values that every nursing student carries both on and off the court. Power, precision, and unwavering determination—our 𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 athletes brought intensity and pride to the court during the 𝙂𝙄𝙇𝘼𝙎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 Men’s and Women’s Basketball games. From fast-paced drives to strategic plays, every moment reflected not only their athletic skill but also the discipline, resilience, and teamwork that define a true nursing student. 🏀🔥

Beyond the scoreboard, these games became a powerful showcase of 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, and the 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙥𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙪𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. The 𝐒𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐨 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞𝐬 – 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐒𝐏𝐂–𝐂𝐒𝐆) formally opened 𝙂𝙄𝙇𝘼𝙎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 with a dynamic and meaningful ceremony that gathered students, faculty, and athletes from various colleges in a shared celebration of 𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮, 𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, and 𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚. The program commenced with the 𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 and 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 of attendance, ensuring an organized flow of participants, followed by the much-anticipated 𝙒𝙖𝙡𝙠 𝙤𝙛 𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙚. During this segment, teams, Mr. and Ms. GILAS candidates, players, and team captains proudly represented their respective colleges, showcasing their identity, spirit, and readiness for the competition ahead. 🚩✨

The ceremony continued with a solemn 𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧, followed by the 𝙖𝙪𝙙𝙞𝙤 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 of the 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘼𝙣𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙢 and the 𝙎𝙋𝘾 𝙃𝙮𝙢𝙣, setting a respectful and unified tone for the entire program. Inspiring messages were then delivered by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐚. 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨 𝐌. 𝐄𝐚𝐥𝐚, College President, and 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟. 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐚. 𝐂𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐌. 𝐄𝐚𝐥𝐚, Vice President for Administrative Affairs, emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and holistic development among SPCians. This was followed by the introduction of the invited guest and an 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙚𝙘𝙝 from 𝐌𝐫. 𝐀𝐫𝐣𝐚𝐲 𝐁. 𝐁𝐮𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐨𝐛𝐫𝐚, who encouraged participants to pursue excellence both in sports and in life. 🎤🙌🏼

One of the defining highlights of the opening ceremony was the 𝙊𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥, where athletes collectively pledged to uphold fairness, integrity, and respect throughout the competition. This was followed by the symbolic 𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙘𝙝 𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 led by team captains, igniting the spirit of passion and determination among all participants. The ceremony further heightened its energy with the 𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧 𝙪𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 by the Council Presidents and a vibrant 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 led by the SPC-CSG representatives, marking the official opening of 𝙂𝙄𝙇𝘼𝙎 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. 🎉🔥

An 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙣𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 added excitement to the program before transitioning into one of the most anticipated segments—the 𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, where competing teams showcased their creativity, coordination, and team spirit. This set the stage for the series of sporting events including basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, darts, chess, and mobile legends, all of which highlighted the diverse talents and competitive drive of SPC students. 🏀🏐🎮

Representing the 𝐒𝐏𝐂 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 (𝐂𝐎𝐍), students actively participated in the opening ceremony, proudly standing alongside other colleges in this institution-wide event. Their presence reflected not only athletic capability but also the unity, pride, and camaraderie that define the College of Nursing community. Guided by the Masters of Ceremony, 𝐊𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 and 𝐒𝐚𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐨, the program flowed seamlessly—capturing the enthusiasm and spirit of every SPCian present. 💚🤍
