The Department of Education Regional Office I, through the Curriculum and Learning Management Division (CLMD), will conduct a two-day Regional Orientation on Learning Systems Reform Policies on May 13 and 14, 2026.

On May 13, nearly 4,000 instructional supervisors, school heads, and Schools Division Superintendents from across the region are expected to gather at the Candon City Arena in Ilocos Sur for the face-to-face orientation.

The following day, May 14, a blended learning approach will be used at the National Educators Academy of the Philippines – Region I (NEAP RI) in San Fernando City, where teachers from all 14 divisions will participate. Some will attend on-site while others will join via Microsoft Teams.

The activity aims to provide participants with a clear and comprehensive understanding of the latest reform policies under the Learning Systems Strand, particularly the shift to a three-term school calendar. It also seeks to ensure smooth and effective implementation of these policies at the division and school levels.

Officials from the DepEd Central Office – Learning Systems Strand will serve as resource speakers to provide deeper insights and clarifications on the national policies. (j)
