Ang kalayaang tinatamasa natin ngayon ay bunga ng kagitingan at sakripisyo ng mga Pilipinong buong tapang na ipinaglaban ang ating bayan.

Sa pagdiriwang ng ika-128 Araw ng Kalayaan ngayong Hunyo 12, 2026, ang San Nicolas National High School ay nakikiisa sa buong sambayanang Pilipino sa paggunita sa katapangan, sakripisyo, at diwang makabayan ng mga Pilipinong nagbigay-daan sa ating kalayaan.

Nawa’y manatiling buhay sa puso ng bawat Filipinian ang diwa ng pagiging magiting, palaban, at makabayan upang sama-sama nating maitaguyod ang isang mas maunlad at mas matatag na Pilipinas. Due to ongoing road construction along the school road, we kindly remind everyone to practice carpooling and observe proper drop-off guidelines to help ease traffic and ensure safety.

We humbly ask for your patience and understanding as we continue to improve our traffic management system. These adjustments are not permanent; we are still studying the most effective ways to manage the flow of vehicles entering and exiting the school given our current road situation. As we gain experience each day, we will continue to make necessary improvements and adjustments.

𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 I 𝗦𝗡𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟳

Reinforcing its commitment to developing a strong partnership between home and school, San Nicolas National High School (SNNHS) conducted its Parents' Orientation on June 5, 2026, at the school Covered Court in preparation for the opening of School Year 2026–2027.

The activity gathered parents and guardians from both the Junior High School and Senior High School departments to discuss important school policies, academic programs, and learner support initiatives that will guide the school community throughout the academic year.

The program formally commenced with a warm welcome from Mrs. Joean R. Baladad, Head Teacher III for English, who greeted the parents and guardians and thanked them for their continued support and partnership in the education of their children

A series of presentations followed to orient parents on key updates and policies for the new school year.

Mrs. Rachelle L. Ramos, Head Teacher III for Araling Panlipunan, discussed the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar and its implications for academic scheduling and school activities.

Mrs. Liza P. Mangwag, Head Teacher III for Values Education and Officer-in-Charge of the Office of the Principal, presented the guidelines on Classroom Assessment and Grading, providing parents with a clearer understanding of learner evaluation and academic performance monitoring.

Meanwhile, Mr. Jessiedave M. Quitoras, Head Teacher III for MAPEH, discussed the class programs for both Junior High School and Senior High School, ensuring parents were informed of class schedules and learning arrangements.

The orientation also featured a presentation on student discipline and behavior expectations by Mrs. Djoralyn D. Pasalo, Head Teacher III for Science, who emphasized the importance of responsible conduct in maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.

To strengthen academic support mechanisms, Mrs. Lewalyn L. Constantino, Master Teacher I and Officer-in-Charge Head Teacher III for Filipino, introduced the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program, highlighting interventions designed to help learners improve their literacy and numeracy competencies.

Parents were likewise briefed on the school's traffic management system by Mr. Johnsen-Virgil P. Calili, Master Teacher I and Officer-in-Charge Head Teacher III for TLE, who presented traffic flow guidelines aimed at ensuring the safety and orderly movement of students, parents, and vehicles within the school vicinity.

Precious Kylee C. Bernardo, SSLG President, presented the school's rules, policies, and learner-centered programs from the perspective of the student government. She likewise called for the continued support of parents and guardians in helping uphold school policies and ensuring the success of initiatives that benefit the student body.

The activity concluded with closing remarks from Mrs. Myann P. Macalma, Administrative Officer IV, who thanked parents for their participation and reaffirmed the school's commitment to providing quality, inclusive, and learner-centered education.

As classes officially begin on June 8, the successful conduct of the Parents' Orientation reinforced SNNHS's belief that meaningful collaboration among educators, parents, and learners is essential in building a supportive learning environment where every Filipinian can thrive.

Armed with brooms, paint, and cleaning materials, volunteers from government agencies and community organizations gathered at San Nicolas National High School on Thursday, June 4, 2026, for the fourth day of Brigada Eskwela activities.

Among those who participated were the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Sangguniang Kabataan, 4Ps beneficiaries from Barangays 6, 7, 8, 9,10, and 11 of San Nicolas, including Barangay 7 of Sarrat, and the Supreme Secondary Learners Government (SSLG).

The volunteers cleaned classrooms, hallways, and different areas inside the campus in preparation for the opening of classes. Their efforts aimed to provide students with a cleaner and safer learning environment.

The DPWH also donated cleaning materials and paint to support the school’s preparations for the incoming school year.

Meanwhile, SSLG members prepared the school’s covered court for the orientation program scheduled for tomorrow. Chairs, tables, and other materials were arranged during the activity.

During an interview, DPWH Head of Planning and Designing Section Chona Dela Cruz shared her thoughts regarding the public perception of the agency.

“DPWH is one of the most criticized government agencies in the country. As a DPWH personnel, how do you respond to the public perception of the department?” she was asked.

Dela Cruz said the criticisms received by the agency serve as motivation for them to improve their work and public service.

“The criticisms became our strength to improve our highways. Despite the issues, it became our inspiration to show people that there are still dedicated public servants working sincerely for the community,” she said.

As the day continued, volunteers worked together under the heat of the afternoon to finish cleaning tasks across the campus. Some repainted walls and cleaned school grounds while others carried chairs and arranged materials for the upcoming orientation program.

Student leaders from the SSLG also took active roles in assisting volunteers and organizing preparations inside the covered court. Their participation reflected the growing involvement of youth leaders not only in school programs but also in community-driven activities.

The activity highlighted how cooperation between government agencies, community members, and student leaders can contribute to a more prepared and welcoming school environment for learners.

The fourth day of Brigada Eskwela served as another reminder that leadership is not only seen inside offices or classrooms, but also through service, volunteerism, and the willingness to help others prepare for a new school year.
