𝗔 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀! 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Yesterday's Job Shadowing Activity was a meaningful and enriching experience for the aspiring health workers students from San Miguel National High School as they had the opportunity to visit and learn firsthand at the 𝗥𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹.

Through this experience, our students gained valuable insights into the dedication, compassion, teamwork, and responsibilities involved in serving the community as health workers. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect what they learn in school with the realities of the health care profession.

𝗗𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿, Municipal Health Officer, 𝗠𝗮'𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗮𝘆𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝘆, Nurse II, and the entire staff of the Rural Health Center of San Miguel for warmly welcoming our students and allowing them to experience a glimpse into the life of a health worker. Your time, guidance and generosity have made this experience truly meaningful.

𝐃𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐨𝐛 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞

Following the successful Job Exposure, our aspiring education students took part in a meaningful Debriefing Session to reflect on their experiences, insights and realization from their day immersed in the world of teaching.

During the session, students had the opportunity to share what they observed, discuss their experiences, identify the challenges and rewards of teaching and reflect on how the exposure shaped their understanding of their chosen career path.

Because in Career Guidance, it is not only about choosing a profession, it is about helping learners discover who they are, what they value and where they can make a difference.

Today, our aspiring education students from SMNHS had the wonderful opportunity to step beyond the classroom and experience the world of teaching through a meaningful Job Shadowing Program at Tambonon Elementary School.

As part of the Career Guidance Program of SMNHS, this activity allowed our students to gain firsthand insights into teaching profession, observe authentic classroom experiences, learn from dedicated educators and better understand the passion, commitment and responsibility that come with being a teacher.

This experience is more than just observing, it is about discovering purpose, building confidence and inspiring future educators to dream bigger and prepare for the profession they aspire to embrace.

In a collaborative session initiated by the Guidance Office, Learners Formation Officers came together to deepen their understanding of managing serious school offenses. This meaningful exchange of strategies and perspectives reinforces our commitment to uphold order, promote positive behavior, and guide every learner toward responsible choices.

Our Grade 10 students Batch 1 successfully completed their Job Interview Simulation, a meaningful step in preparing them for their upcoming job shadowing experience. From crafting answers to showcasing confidence and professionalism, our learners embraced the challenge and proved they are ready to face real life opportunities.

This activity not only honed their communication skills but also boosted their self confidence and career readiness. The future is bright and this is just the beginning.

SMNHS proudly highlights the collaborative efforts of the Learners Formation Officers (LFOs) in strengthening the effective use of Guidance forms an essential step in ensuring responsive and well-documented student support.

Through this initiative, LFOs were guided on the proper use and application of key forms such as intake sheets, anecdotal records, incident reports, and risk assessment tools. These forms serve as vital instruments in identifying student needs, documenting concerns, and implementing appropriate interventions with accuracy and confidentiality.

The activity emphasized a systematic and unified approach in handling student cases, ensuring that concerns are addressed promptly, fairly, and professionally. It also reinforced the importance of collaboration among teachers, guidance advocates, and school leaders in promoting learners’ well-being.

With empowered LFOs, SMNHS continues to build a strong support system that nurtures discipline, guidance, and holistic development of every learner.

Last Monday, July 27 during the Homeroom Guidance Program, SMNHS successfully conducted the Parents’ Orientation on the Learners’ Handbook, bringing together parents, teachers, and school leaders in a shared commitment to student growth and well-being.

The session highlighted the important roles of students, parents, and educators in creating a safe, supportive, and disciplined school environment. Through collaboration and open communication, the SMNHS community continues to strengthen its foundation in guiding learners toward success.

Because at SMNHS, raising a child is a shared responsibility and together, we build a better future. 🤝

Last July 21, 2026, the SMNHS Guidance Office successfully initiated the creation of the Learners Formation Officers (LFO) and the Action Plan for the Child Protection Committee for this school year.

The Learners Formation Officers (LFO) were established to promote student discipline, leadership, and collaboration, and to actively assist in addressing and resolving students’ concerns on a daily basis.

The activity was attended by key stakeholders, including the School Head, Grade Level Chairs, SSLG Officers, Faculty President, Guidance Advocates, Barangay Representative, and SPTA President—working together towards a safe, supportive, and learner-centered school environment.

The Grade 10 students of SMNHS successfully completed the Landas Toolkit program, empowering them to plan with clarity, act with intention, and embrace change with courage as they continue their journey of growth.
