The Leonora S. Salapantan National High School (LSSNHS) Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O) officially launched the Flip and Sip Kick-Off on August 17, 2026, at the Home Economics Building. The activity marked the beginning of the Sip and Flip Clean Beverage Carton Collection Challenge, an environmental initiative that promotes proper waste segregation, recycling, and responsible waste management.
The activity was attended by the Council Presidents, Club Presidents, and LSSNHS Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers, who will help implement the collection challenge in their respective classrooms and organizations.
A major highlight of the event was the turnover of garbage bins, led by Mr. Niรฑo Simoy, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Designate, and Mr. Aeron Paul G. Gabinete, Territory Activation Manager of Tetra Pak.

He highlighted that LSSNHS is the first school they have coordinated with for the initiative, making the activity a significant step in strengthening the schoolโs commitment to environmental advocacy.
Following the messages, Lance Casipe, YES-O President, and Mrs. Julie Saturnino, YES-O Adviser, oriented the Council Presidents, Club Presidents, and SSLG officers on the implementation of the Sip and Flip Challenge, including the collection process, assigned responsibilities, consolidation procedures, and important dates.
The program opened with attendance, prayer, the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the San Miguel Hymn.
