Grateful to the Lord for answering my prayer and granting the desire to apply the Biblical pattern of Cell Group ministry as seen in the Book of Acts. 🙏
Today, April 26, 2026, right after the Worship Service, we successfully conducted our very first Cell Group Class. To God be all the glory for this new beginning in discipleship and spiritual growth!

The boys were led by Dr. Nilo H. Flores, and the girls were led by Ma’am Gina Pabuaya Flores—praise God for servant leaders committed to guiding others in the Word.

Heartfelt thanks to Rev. Richard, Rev. David Simong, and Pastor Sunny Casabuena for your guidance and mentoring. Your investment in this ministry is truly a blessing.

Saan Patungo ang Tao Pagkatapos Mamatay?

Mananampalataya at Hindi Mananampalataya

By Dr. Nilo H. Flores
April 1, 2026

Pastor, Philippine Christian Baptist Church of Central Luzon Incorporated
315 Libunao St., Sta Rita Matanda, San Miguel, Philippines🇵🇭

Panimula

I. Ang Patutunguhan ng Mananampalataya

“Absent from the body… present with the Lord” (2 Corinto 5:8)

➡️ Ibig sabihin:

2. Kaligayahan at Kapahingahan

“Today you will be with Me in paradise” (Lucas 23:43)

➡️ Walang sakit, walang luha, walang paghihirap
➡️ May kapayapaan at kagalakan sa langit

3. Pagkabuhay na Maguli sa Hinaharap

Sa pagbabalik ni Cristo:

Ang mga mananampalataya ay bubuhaying muli

Tatanggap ng maluwalhating katawan

Papasok sa buhay na walang hanggan

II. Ang Patutunguhan ng Hindi Mananampalataya

3. Huling Paghuhukom

➡️ Walang hanggang kaparusahan (Pahayag 20:11–15)

III. Dalawang Walang Hanggang Patutunguhan

Ayon sa Biblia:

Buhay na walang hanggan para sa mananampalataya

Kapahamakan o kaparusahan para sa hindi mananampalataya

“Some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2)

IV. Mahahalagang Katotohanan

✔ Ang kamatayan ay hindi wakas
✔ May kamalayan ang kaluluwa pagkatapos mamatay
✔ May darating na pagkabuhay na muli
✔ May huling paghuhukom

V. Paalala at Hamon

Ang pinakamahalagang tanong ay hindi:
“Ano ang mangyayari pagkatapos mamatay?”
kundi:
“Ano ang kalagayan mo bago ka mamatay?”

👉 Ang kaligtasan ay nasa kay Cristo lamang
👉 Ngayon ang panahon ng pagsisisi at pananampalataya

VI.
(Juan 1:12)
➡️ Ang pagtanggap kay Cristo ay:
✔ Personal na desisyon
✔ Pagtanggap sa Kanya bilang Panginoon at Tagapagligtas
✔ Pagbubukas ng puso sa Kanyang paghahari
A. Kilalanin
at muling nabuhay.
at tinatanggap Kita bilang aking Panginoon at Tagapagligtas.

Konklusyon

Ang tao ay may dalawang destinasyon lamang:

Langit kasama ang Diyos

Kapahamakan na hiwalay sa Diyos

Kaya’t habang may buhay pa:
👉 Manampalataya kay Cristo
👉 Mamuhay ng banal
👉 Ihanda ang sarili sa walang hanggan

IS WATER BAPTISM ONLY FOR ISRAEL OR FOR ALL BELIEVERS?

By Dr. Nilo H. Flores
March 26,2026

The claim that water baptism is only for Israel and not for Christians is not supported by the full teaching of the New Testament. While it is true that God has different dispensational dealings, the command for baptism was clearly given to all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ—both Jews and Gentiles.

1. The Great Commission Includes All Nations

Jesus Himself commanded baptism, not only for Israel but for the whole world:

📖 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them…” — Matthew 28:19

This command was given after His resurrection and is directed to “all nations” (Gentiles included), not Israel alone.

2. Baptism Follows Salvation by Faith

Baptism is not for salvation, but it is the public testimony of true repentance and faith:

📖 “He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved…” — Mark 16:16
📖 “Repent, and be baptized every one of you…” — Acts 2:38

The pattern is clear:
👉 Believe → Repent → Be Baptized

3. Gentiles Were Also Baptized

Baptism was not limited to Jews. Even Gentile believers were commanded to be baptized:

📖 “Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized…?” — Acts 10:47–48

Cornelius and his household (Gentiles) received the Holy Spirit and were still commanded to be baptized in water.

4. Paul Did Not Reject Baptism

Some misunderstand 1 Corinthians 1:17. Paul did not say baptism is unnecessary—he emphasized that his primary calling was preaching, not personally baptizing.

In fact, Paul still:

Baptized believers (1 Corinthians 1:14–16)

Practiced and taught identification with Christ (Romans 6:3–4)

📖 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism…” — Romans 6:4

5. Baptism Is an Act of Obedience

Baptism does not save—but it is an important step of obedience after salvation.

📖 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized…” — Acts 2:41

It is:

A testimony of faith

A picture of death, burial, and resurrection with Christ

An act of obedience to Christ’s command

6. For Both Jews and Gentiles in Christ

In Christ, there is no division:

📖 “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles…” — 1 Corinthians 12:13

Spiritual baptism unites us to Christ, and water baptism expresses that union outwardly.

✅ Conclusion

Water baptism is not limited to Israel. It is for all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, repent, and receive Him as Savior—both Jews and Gentiles.

It is not for salvation, but it is: ✔ A command of Christ
✔ A testimony of faith
✔ An act of obedience

⚠️ Final Note (with a smile 😊)

Baptism is not just for those who need a bath 😄—
It is for those who have been cleansed by the blood of Christ and are willing to publicly follow Him.

🙏 Closing Statement

Let us uphold the truth of Scripture:
Salvation is by grace through faith alone—but true faith obeys Christ.

Genesis 1:1–2 Explained (Original Meaning)
By Dr. Nilo H. Flores
February 10, 2026
Genesis 1:1

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”

Original Meaning & Explanation

The Hebrew text begins with “Beresh*th” — “In the beginning.”
This does not describe God’s beginning, because God has no beginning. It marks the beginning of time, space, and matter as we know it.

The word “God” here is “Elohim,” a plural noun with a singular verb. This reveals God’s majesty and fullness of power, and it beautifully allows room for the Triune God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), without contradicting God’s oneness.

The word “created” is “bara.”
This is very important. Bara means to create out of nothing (ex nihilo). Only God can “bara.” Man can form, shape, or build—but only God creates from nothing.

“Heaven and earth” is a Hebrew expression meaning everything that exists—the entire universe, both the unseen and the seen.

👉 Genesis 1:1 declares this truth clearly:
God alone is the eternal Creator. Everything else is creation.

Genesis 1:2

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”

Original Meaning & Explanation

The phrase “without form and void” comes from the Hebrew “tohu va-bohu.”
It describes a condition that is unshaped, unfilled, and unorganized—not evil, but unfinished.

Darkness upon the deep does not mean sin or chaos caused by Satan. It simply describes the absence of light before God spoke it into existence (which happens in verse 3).

Then we see hope and divine activity:

“The Spirit of God moved…”
The Hebrew word “rachaph” means to hover, to brood, to vibrate with life, like a mother bird over her nest.

👉 This shows that the Holy Spirit was actively preparing creation, not abandoning it.

The Flow of the Passage

Genesis 1:1 — Creation declared
Genesis 1:2 — Creation prepared
Genesis 1:3 onward — Creation ordered by God’s Word

God did not create a ruined world and then fix it.
He created a world progressively, with purpose, order, and wisdom.

Powerful Spiritual Truth

Before God speaks light, His Spirit is already moving.
Before form and fullness appear, God is already at work.

This same pattern applies spiritually:

God begins the work

The Spirit moves

The Word brings light and order

Conclusion

Genesis 1:1–2 teaches us that:

God is eternal and sovereign

Creation began by God alone

The Spirit of God is active from the very start

Order comes by God’s Word, not by chance

This is not mythology.
This is divine revelation.

“In the beginning God…”
Everything starts with Him—and everything makes sense because of Him.

What Are the Differences Between the Spirit, Soul, and Body of Animals Compared to Man?

Greek Meaning with KJV Bible Verses
By Dr. Nilo H. Flores

The Bible teaches that both man and animals were formed by God, yet they were created with different purposes, capacities, and destinies. Scripture honors animals as part of God’s creation, but it clearly distinguishes man alone as the bearer of God’s image, possessing moral responsibility and eternal accountability.

📖 “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness…”
— Genesis 1:26 (KJV)

God Formed Both Man and Animals

Before discussing body, soul, and spirit, the Bible establishes a foundational truth:
👉 God Himself formed both man and animals.

📖 “And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air…”
— Genesis 2:19 (KJV)

📖 “By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.”
— Job 26:13 (KJV)

📖 “The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the fool, and rewardeth transgressors.”
— Proverbs 26:10 (KJV)

These verses confirm that all living creatures owe their existence to God, not chance.
However, being formed by God does not mean being equal in nature or destiny.

1. BODY — Sōma (σῶμα)

Both man and animals possess physical bodies, formed from the dust of the ground.

📖 “All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:39 (KJV)

Both experience hunger, pain, aging, and physical death.
Yet only man’s body is declared to be the temple of the Holy Ghost.

📖 “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost…?”
— 1 Corinthians 6:19 (KJV)

👉 Animals were formed by God, but man’s body was designed for divine indwelling.

2. SOUL — Psychē (ψυχή) | Hebrew: Nephesh

Scripture teaches that both man and animals are called “living souls” in the sense of natural life.

📖 “Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life…”
— Genesis 1:20 (KJV)

📖 “And man became a living soul.”
— Genesis 2:7 (KJV)

That animals possess soul-life is clearly confirmed in judgment language:

📖 “And the third angel poured out his vial upon the sea… and every living soul died in the sea.”
— Revelation 16:3 (KJV)

👉 This verse unmistakably shows that animals are referred to as “living souls”, yet those souls can perish physically.

However, man’s soul is distinct. It includes:

Moral awareness

Rational thought

Personal responsibility

Eternal value

📖 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?”
— Matthew 16:26 (KJV)

Animals live by instinct.
Man lives by conscience and choice.

3. SPIRIT — Pneuma (πνεῦμα)

The Greatest Biblical Distinction

Man alone was given a God-conscious spirit, capable of worship, fellowship, and regeneration.

📖 “The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.”
— Romans 8:16 (KJV)

Animals possess the breath of life, but not a spirit that communes with God or receives redemption.

📖 “Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?”
— Ecclesiastes 3:21 (KJV)

👉 Animals were formed by God and sustained by His breath.
👉 Man was created for fellowship with God.

God’s Image: Righteous and Holy

Man’s uniqueness is not physical form but spiritual and moral likeness.
Scripture defines the image of God clearly.

📖 “And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”
— Ephesians 4:24 (KJV)

God’s image is therefore:

Righteous — morally right before God

Holy — separated unto God

Animals, though formed by God, were never created in righteousness and holiness, nor are they capable of spiritual renewal.

Love for Christ: Expression of God’s Holy Image

This restored image in man is expressed through holy, sincere love for Jesus Christ.

📖 “Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.”
— Ephesians 6:24 (KJV)

👉 This verse reveals that:

True love for Christ flows from a regenerated spirit

Such love must be pure, incorrupt, and holy

Only those bearing God’s restored image can love Christ this way

Biblical Comparison Summary

Aspect Man Animal

Formed by God Yes Yes (Gen. 2:19)
Body (Sōma) Temple of God Physical vessel
Soul (Psychē) Moral, eternal Physical life (Rev. 16:3)
Spirit (Pneuma) God-conscious, redeemable Breath of life
Image of God Yes No
Image Defined Righteous & Holy Not applicable
Love for Christ Possible (Eph. 6:24) Not possible
Eternal Accountability Yes No

God’s Order and Purpose

Animals glorify God by existing according to His design.
Man glorifies God by knowing Him, obeying Him, and loving Him by choice.

📖 “Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.”
— Psalm 150:6 (KJV)

Closing Truth

Both man and animals were formed by God, as affirmed in Genesis, Job, and Proverbs.
Yet man alone bears God’s image, defined by righteousness and holiness, restored in Christ, and expressed through sincere love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

To confuse formation with equality is to blur Scripture.
To honor distinction is to honor the wisdom of the Creator.

To God be all the glory.

Topic: “The Emptiness of Life Without God”

Text: Ecclesiastes 1:1–11 (KJV)

“Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.” (Eccl. 1:2)

By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores

Date: January 6, 2026

INTRODUCTION

The book of Ecclesiastes is one of the most honest books in the Bible. It speaks the language of real life—questions, frustrations, disappointments, and deep searching of the soul. Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest king of Israel, looks back at life and evaluates everything he experienced: wisdom, labor, pleasure, success, and knowledge.

In Ecclesiastes chapter 1, Solomon speaks not as a young dreamer but as a man seasoned by life. His conclusion is clear and sobering: life without God at the center is empty, repetitive, and meaningless.

I. Life Without God Is Vanity

(Ecclesiastes 1:2)
The word vanity means emptiness, v***r, or breath—something that does not last. Anything that replaces God as the purpose of life will always end in disappointment.

II. Human Labor Without Eternal Purpose Is Wearisome

(Ecclesiastes 1:3)
Hard work alone cannot give lasting satisfaction. When labor is separated from God’s purpose, it leads to exhaustion rather than fulfillment.

III. Life Without God Becomes Repetitive and Monotonous

(Ecclesiastes 1:4–7)
Generations come and go, yet life seems to move in endless cycles. Without God, life feels like motion without direction.

IV. Human Knowledge Alone Cannot Satisfy the Soul

(Ecclesiastes 1:8)
The eye is never satisfied with seeing, and the ear is never filled with hearing. Only God can satisfy the deepest hunger of the human heart.

V. Life Without God Offers Nothing Truly New

(Ecclesiastes 1:9–10)
The world offers change, but not renewal. True newness—new life and new hope—comes only from God.

REFERENCE (KJV)

Ecclesiastes 1:1–11
Psalm 127:1
Matthew 16:26

ILLUSTRATION

Life without God is like chasing the wind. No matter how fast you run or how hard you try, you can never catch it. The pursuit leaves you tired and empty. Solomon chased everything the world could offer, only to discover that true meaning is found in God alone.

CONCLUSION

Ecclesiastes 1 reminds us that life makes sense only when God is at the center. Without Him, success is hollow, labor is weary, wisdom is incomplete, and joy is temporary. God alone gives life its true meaning.

APPLICATION

Examine your life today. Ask yourself where your time, energy, and heart are invested. Seek God first, and allow Him to give eternal purpose to everything you do.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father,
We acknowledge that apart from You, life is empty. Forgive us for seeking meaning in temporary things. Teach us to live for Your glory and for eternity. May our lives find rest, purpose, and joy in You alone.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Devotion on Joshua 1:8 (KJV)

Title: Prosperity That Comes from the Word
Text: Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
By: Dr. Nilo H. Flores
Date: December 17, 2025

Introduction

Joshua stood at a turning point in history. Moses, the great leader, was gone. The responsibility of leading Israel into the Promised Land now rested on Joshua’s shoulders. In this moment of pressure and transition, God did not give Joshua a military strategy or political advice. Instead, God pointed him to His Word. Joshua 1:8 reveals God’s divine formula for spiritual strength, wise living, and true success.

Joshua 1:8 (KJV):
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

I. God’s Word Must Dwell in Our Mouth

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth”

1. The Word is to be Spoken, Not Silenced
God’s Word was meant to be confessed, taught, and declared—not hidden or forgotten.

2. Faith is Strengthened by Speaking Scripture
When the Word stays in our mouth, it shapes our thinking and builds courage.

3. Spiritual Leadership Begins with the Word
Joshua could not lead others rightly unless God’s Word first ruled his own life.

Reference:
Deuteronomy 6:6–7; Romans 10:17

II. God’s Word Must Dwell in Our Mind

“But thou shalt meditate therein day and night”

1. Meditation Means Deep Thinking, Not Empty Thinking
Biblical meditation is filling the mind with God’s truth, not emptying it.

2. Day and Night Shows Consistency
God calls us to a continual relationship with His Word, not occasional reading.

3. Meditation Leads to Spiritual Stability
A mind anchored in Scripture is not easily shaken by fear or doubt.

Reference:
Psalm 1:2; Philippians 4:8

III. God’s Word Must Be Lived Out in Our Life

“That thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein”

1. Obedience Is the Goal of Meditation
God’s Word is not only to be known but to be obeyed.

2. Partial Obedience Is Not Full Obedience
God emphasized “all that is written,” not selective obedience.

3. True Success Follows Submission to God
Prosperity and success come after obedience, not before.

Reference:
James 1:22; John 13:17

Original Meaning (Hebrew Insight)

“Meditate” comes from the Hebrew word hagah, meaning to murmur, mutter, or speak softly. This implies repeating God’s Word until it sinks deeply into the heart.

“Prosperous” comes from tsalach, meaning to advance, to push forward, to succeed. It does not only mean material wealth but spiritual progress.

“Good success” comes from sakal, meaning to act wisely and with understanding. God’s success is wisdom-directed living.

In original meaning, God was promising Joshua wisdom-led progress, not worldly riches without righteousness.

Illustration

A farmer may own the best land, but if he never plants seeds or tends the soil, there will be no harvest. God’s Word is the seed. Speaking it is planting, meditating is watering, and obeying is harvesting. Many desire the harvest of success, but few commit to the daily discipline of the Word.

Conclusion

Joshua 1:8 teaches us that success in God’s eyes is not accidental—it is intentional. When the Word of God rules our mouth, fills our mind, and directs our actions, God Himself promises prosperity and good success. This is not the world’s success, but God’s approval, guidance, and blessing upon our lives.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your precious Word. Help us to keep it in our mouth, meditate on it day and night, and obey it with a willing heart. Teach us that true success comes from walking in Your will. Strengthen us, guide us, and make our lives fruitful for Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
