Out of the 12 slots allocated by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Region IX, JHCSC was represented by its Dean of Student Affairs and Services during the orientation held at the CHED Central Office, Quezon City, on August 20, 2026. The participation reflects the College's proactive commitment to keeping its Student Affairs and Services programs aligned with the latest national standards and policies. CHED has described the new CMO as a framework for strengthening inclusive, responsive, and student-centered SAS.

Among the significant highlights of the new CMO is the institutionalization of the Student Affairs and Services Certificate of Compliance (SAS-COC), to be issued every three (3) years, reinforcing the need for continuous institutional compliance and quality assurance. The CMO also provides for 20 basic components of Student Affairs and Services, emphasizing a more comprehensive, holistic approach to addressing students' needs and well-being. Of immediate importance are the strengthened requirements concerning sanitation, health services, and food services, which are essential in ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive campus environment.
