06 DECEMBER 2025 | ILLUMIN8: Radiating Light, Hope, and Paulinian Spirit

St. Paul University at San Miguel once again illuminated the campus through its annual celebration, ILLUMIN8: Radiating Light, Hope, and Paulinian Spirit. The celebration opened with the Via Gaudi, a reflective walk that brought the joyful mysteries to life through each stations representing sacred events from the life of Christ. This act of spiritual pilgrimage strengthened CHRIST-CENTEREDNESS, calling everyone to reflect, pray, and reconnect with God at the heart of the celebration. The Eucharistic Celebration grounded the evening in gratitude and grace, renewing our identity as a COMMUNITY called to holiness and service. The illumination symbolized renewed hope and the spirit of CHARITY, encouraging everyone to become light-bearers for others, especially the marginalized.

The program unfolded with an opening prayer, warm welcomes, and the symbolic Panuluyan performed by the Drama Club.
The performances reflected the Paulinian value of CHARISM as they showcased devotion and creativity. The Official Countdown and Lighting followed, filling the campus with brilliance and joy. Another highlight of the night was the launch of the SPUSM Christmas Station ID titled “Liwang ng Pag-asa.”Filled with heartfelt messages and uplifting music, the Station ID showcased the Paulinian value of Commitment to Excellence, a value that also shone brightly in every performance that followed.

Throughout the celebration, the event’s spirit aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The reflective and spiritually nurturing activities supported SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). The creativity of Paulinians embodied SDG 4 (Quality Education) by nurturing holistic learning beyond the classroom. The celebration also reflected SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by promoting unity, compassion, and shared purpose. As the night came to a close with heartfelt messages and prayer, the celebration left the Paulinian community with a renewed sense of mission. ILLUMIN8 became a reminder that hope must be lived out daily. It inspired every Paulinian to carry Christ’s light within them as they strive to radiate faith, excellence, and compassion in their daily lives.

In this season of joy, SPUSM continues to stand as a beacon of hope and unity, sharing its light with the world.

28 NOVEMBER 2025 | ANTI-BULLYING SEMINAR-WORKSHOP

St. Paul University at San Miguel strengthened its commitment to a safe and supportive learning environment through “The Paulinian Stand: Advocacies, Laws, and Lifelines Against Bullying in All Forms,” held on 28 November 2025 at the SPUSM Gymnasium. Organized by the BSCS 4 Research Team, the event gathered students and educators to deepen their understanding of bullying, its impact, and the shared duty of fostering a respectful community. The university welcomed Mr. Jose Marie De Guzman as the resource speaker, who delivered an inspiring talk on the realities of bullying in both physical and digital spaces, encouraging Paulinians to stand in truth, act with CHARITY, and build COMMUNITY through empathy and responsible choices.

After the talk, the BSCS 4 students facilitated an interactive workshop designed to help participants apply the lessons from the discussion. This activity strengthened the participants ability to analyze situations, make ethical decisions, and become proactive allies within the school. The advocacy aligned with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by promoting student well-being (SDG 3), enhancing quality education through awareness and empowerment (SDG 4), upholding gender respect (SDG 5), reducing inequalities experienced by learners (SDG 10), supporting peaceful and just school systems (SDG 16), and fostering collaboration between students, faculty, and external partners (SDG 17). These principles reflect the Paulinian mission of shaping responsible, compassionate, and socially engaged individuals. As the seminar concluded, students were reminded of its powerful call: “Be an Ally. Be a Voice. Be Paulinian Strong.” With united effort and unwavering Paulinian spirit, the community continues to work toward a campus where every learner feels safe, valued, and empowered.

ATTENTION, PAULINIAN COLLEGE STUDENTS

Tomorrow, 28 November 2025, at 8:00 AM, we REQUIRED all SPUSM college students to gather at the SPUSM Gymnasium for our seminar-workshop:

THE PAULINIAN STAND: Advocacies, Laws, and Lifelines Against Bullying in All Forms

BULLYING, whether inside the school grounds or beyond our campus, remains one of the most pressing challenges in every college community. It affects mental health, relationships, academic performance, and the overall well-being of individuals. As Paulinians, we are called not only to recognize these realities but to respond with courage, compassion, and integrity.

This campaign will guide you on how to act responsibly, speak up bravely, and become a voice for those who cannot speak for themselves. You will learn about your rights, available support systems, and the proper steps to take when faced with bullying situations.

Let us live out our Paulinian Core Values:
✔ Christ-Centeredness, by choosing kindness and respect;
✔ Charity, by extending understanding and support to others;
✔ Community, by protecting one another;
✔ Commission, by standing against injustice;
✔ Charism, by being witnesses of hope and healing.

Be an Ally. Be a Voice. Be Paulinian Strong.

See you all tomorrow.
