The Information and Communications Technology Society (ICTS) of ISU-San Mateo once again affirmed its competitive standing after earning distinctions at the 16th ICT Roadshow Competition, conducted on April 30, 2026, in a hybrid setup hosted by ISUโEchague.
Anchored on the theme โGreen Intelligence: AI Transforming Agro-Industry and Eco-Tourism,โ the event convened participants from various institutions to present innovative ideas and technology-driven solutions. Despite the virtual modality, the competition remained rigorous, challenging students to deliver outputs that were both relevant and forward-looking.
Representing ISU-San Mateo in the Website Design and Development category were Mark Vince F. Gammad, Nishielynne C. Bayaca, and Carl John P. Galabay, under the guidance of their coach, Maria Jonalene V. Dela Merced, MIT. Their entry secured 2nd place, reflecting both technical proficiency and thoughtful application of concepts aligned with the competitionโs theme.
In the General Programming (Gen Prog) category, ICTS ISU-San Mateo was also represented by Christian Bautista, Adrian Cacal, and Rain De Vera, under the guidance of their coach, Christian Salvador.
Beyond the academic arena, ICTS ISU-San Mateo also delivered commendable performances in the e-sports category. The Mobile Legends teamโJaylord Antonio Laggui, John Jehu Velarde Amora, Joross Angoluan Manggurit, Rhyne Rene M. Baniaga, and Cleiton Jay B. Clementeโfinished in 4th place after a series of closely contested matches that showcased their coordination and strategic discipline.
Similarly, the Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) team composed of Derick Jethro Escaรฑo, Ivan Caesar Vincente, Jhoe Renz Nitura, Emilio Naniong, and Xhandher Angelo Sakay also placed 4th, demonstrating composure and teamwork throughout the competition.
These accomplishments underscore the organizationโs breadth of talent and its enduring commitment to excellence across both academic and competitive platforms. ICTS ISU-San Mateo continues to strengthen its presence as a dynamic force in the field of information and communications technology.
