This assessment allowed us to:
* Evaluate student progress across key developmental and learning areas.
* Identify individual needs to guide future interventions and support.
* Strengthen collaboration between families and educators to ensure consistent growth at home and in school.

💡 Understanding the Difference
From the outside, a meltdown and a tantrum might look alike. But inside, they come from very different places.

🧠 A meltdown happens when an autistic child is overwhelmed and can’t regulate in that moment. Sensory overload, sudden changes, too many demands, fatigue, or strong emotions can all play a role.

😔 A tantrum is usually about frustration—wanting something, resisting a limit, or trying to avoid something.

💜 When a child is overwhelmed, think support—not punishment:

-Lower the noise, lights, or other sensory input
-Speak calmly, using fewer words
-Offer space or a quieter spot
-Give time to settle and regulate
-Keep safety first—for the child and others
-Never shame or blame

Most importantly: don’t judge a child—or their parent—based on one hard moment.

✨ See the child. Notice the need. Respond with compassion.
