On December 17, the San Mateo Municipal Stadium was transformed into a vibrant haven of music, lights, and shared joy as San Mateo Municipal College (SMMC) successfully held its first-ever Christmas Special and Tree Lighting Ceremony. The event was thoughtfully and brilliantly organized under the leadership of Head Ma’am Rosanna Gamboa and Assistant Head Sir Michael Solis, whose dedication made the celebration truly meaningful. Students, faculty, and guests gathered as one community, embracing the warmth of the season and the spirit of togetherness that filled the night.

The program showcased exceptional talent and heartfelt performances that captured the true essence of Christmas. From the soul-stirring carols of Kultura Chorale and the touching dula presented by Teatro Hiraya to the electrifying energy of Sinag Dance Troupe, every act brought excitement and inspiration to the audience. Standout solo performances and powerful collaborations illuminated the stage, while the sincere messages shared by Ms. Aira Mae Maboloc and Dr. Maria Veronica Iringan added depth and gratitude to the celebration. As the Christmas tree lit up the night sky, it symbolized not only the holiday season but also the unity, pride, and vibrant spirit of the SMMC community making it a night truly worth remembering.
