𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟐𝟐, 𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 remains the official policy on class and work suspension during disasters and emergencies. It specifies when, how, and who has the authority to suspend classes and work.

Meanwhile, 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝 𝐎𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨. 𝟏𝟒, 𝐬. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 focuses on learning continuity during emergencies. It does not replace DO 22, s. 2024. Instead, it introduces the 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 (𝐇𝐀𝐘𝐎, 𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐘, 𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐀, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎) to help schools determine the most appropriate mode of learning based on safety, accessibility, readiness, and local conditions.

DO 22, s. 2024: 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝?
DO 14, s. 2026: 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐲?

The two DepEd Orders complement each other but serve different purposes.

Always rely on official announcements from DepEd, your Local Government Unit (LGU), and other authorized government agencies regarding class suspensions.

For weather-related updates, follow official forecasts and advisories issued by PAGASA and other legitimate news sources.

Stay informed and prioritize everyone's safety at all times.

Salinungan National High School (SNHS), through its Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers and selected students, took part in Project TREEty (Tree, Thank You) tree planting activity of SDO Isabela with the theme "Plant Today, Thrive Tomorrow" at the Salinungan West Public Cemetery, July 30.

The tree-planting activity aimed to promote environmental stewardship, encourage youth participation in conservation efforts, and contribute to a greener and more sustainable community. Students, guided by their teachers, planted tree seedlings within the cemetery grounds, symbolizing hope and responsibility for future generations.

Joining the activity was Barangay Chairman Genaro B. Reyno, who expressed his appreciation for the initiative and commended the students for taking an active role in protecting the environment. He emphasized that tree planting is a shared responsibility that benefits both the present and future generations.

The activity also served as an opportunity to strengthen the partnership between the school and the local government in promoting environmental awareness and community involvement.

Through Project TREEty, Salinungan National High School reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing environmentally responsible learners and inspiring the community to take part in preserving nature.

"Plant Today, Thrive Tomorrow" serves as a reminder that every tree planted today is an investment in a healthier, greener, and more resilient tomorrow.
