World No To***co Day is observed every year on May 31st. It is an initiative led by the World Health Organization (WHO) to raise awareness about the health risks associated with to***co use and to advocate for effective policies to reduce to***co consumption worldwide.

The primary goal of World No To***co Day is to highlight the negative impact of to***co use on public health and to encourage individuals, communities, and governments to take action to reduce to***co consumption. The day serves as a platform to educate people about the harmful effects of to***co, including its link to various diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, and other health complications.

Each year, World No To***co Day focuses on a specific theme or topic related to to***co control. These themes aim to address different aspects of to***co use and its consequences, such as to***co and lung health, to***co and heart health, to***co and youth, and so on. The themes help in creating awareness and providing targeted information to various audiences, including smokers, non-smokers, policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the general public.

On World No To***co Day, various activities and events take place worldwide. These include public campaigns, educational programs, anti-smoking initiatives, health fairs, seminars, conferences, and media campaigns to promote the dangers of to***co use and encourage people to quit smoking or never start in the first place. Governments and organizations may also use this day to announce new policies and measures to control to***co use and protect public health.

By observing World No To***co Day, the aim is to reduce the prevalence of to***co use, protect people from exposure to to***co smoke, and support individuals in quitting to***co. It emphasizes the importance of creating a to***co-free environment and promoting healthier choices for individuals and communities.
