IBA, Zambales — Newly appointed President of the Federated Supreme Student Government (FSSG) and student regent of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU), Carlos Ceejay B. Villanueva, formally took his oath of office for School Year 2026–2027 at the Office of the University President Conference Room, September 15, 2026.

The oathtaking ceremony was administered under the supervision of University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos, together with key university officials, including Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lillian F. Uy, Director for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Cecilia C. Garson, Head of Student Organizations Dr. Daryll Jim R. Angel, and Student Affairs and Services Head of San Marcelino Campus Dr. Rico Falaminiano.

Following the ceremony, Villanueva expressed his gratitude to Dr. Villalobos and the university officials for their continued support of PRMSU students and the wider Ramonian community.

The occasion also provided an opportunity for Villanueva and the university administration to reaffirm their shared commitment to developing student-centered projects, policies, and programs that promote the interests and welfare of the student body and contribute to the continued development of the University.

As the newly appointed student regent begins his term, the oathtaking marks not only the start of Villanueva’s service but also PRMSU’s continuing commitment to empowering student leaders and strengthening student participation in advancing the welfare and development of the Ramonian community.

Newly appointed FSSG President and Student Regent Carlos Ceejay B. Villanueva formally took his oath of office for S.Y. 2026–2027 on September 15 at the Office of the University President, witnessed by Dr. Roy N. Villalobos and key university officials.

The ceremony marks the beginning of Villanueva’s commitment to representing the student body and advancing initiatives for the welfare of the Ramonian community.

September 15, 2026 — Carlos Ceejay B. Villanueva, newly elected President of the Federated Supreme Student Government (FSSG), formally took his oath as Student Regent of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) for School Year 2026–2027 before University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos.

The oath-taking ceremony was witnessed by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Lilian F. Uy; Director for Student Affairs and Services Dr. Cecilia C. Garson; Head of Student Organizations Dr. Daryll Jim R. Angel; and Student Affairs and Services Head of San Marcelino Campus Dr. Rico Falaminiano.

Following the oath-taking, Villanueva expressed his gratitude to Dr. Villalobos for his continued support to the Federation and the entire PRMSU studentry. He reaffirmed his commitment to support the University President’s future plans and initiatives for the continued development and betterment of the University.

Villanueva likewise presented his plans as the newly elected Student Regent, particularly his commitment to strengthening support for fellow student leaders and students across the University.

Meanwhile, Dr. Villalobos reiterated his support for Villanueva’s administration, the University’s student leaders, and the entire PRMSU studentry. He expressed his commitment to working with the student leadership in pursuing plans and initiatives that promote the welfare and benefit of all Ramonians.

As Student Regent, Villanueva will represent the interests, concerns, and aspirations of the PRMSU studentry in the Board of Regents, the governing body of the University.

A special flag ceremony was held at the Gabaldon Covered Court of President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU)–San Marcelino Campus on September 14, 2026, to formally announce the election of Hon. Carlos Ceejay Villanueva as the newly elected Student Regent of PRMSU.

The ceremony was hosted by Dr. Rico Falaminiano, who led the special gathering attended by members of the university community.

The official announcement of Villanueva’s election was made by Campus Director Prof. Ferdinand M. Domingo, formally confirming his victory and recognition as the university’s newly elected Student Regent.

Villanueva, who currently serves as the Student Supreme Government (SSG) President of PRMSU–San Marcelino Campus, will carry the voice and interests of the student body as he assumes his new role in the university.

His election marks a significant milestone for the San Marcelino Campus, as Villanueva is set to represent students in the university’s highest student leadership body and continue advocating for their concerns, welfare, and interests.

The Supreme Student Government (SSG) of President Ramon Magsaysay State University – San Marcelino Campus proudly participated in the Philippines I Transform! Leaders Convention (PITLC) organized by YouthLead, held at Teachers’ Camp, Baguio City. Representing the campus were Mr. Carlos Ceejay Villanueva, SSG President, and Mr. Aaron Howard Lorenzo, Sergeant-at-Arms, who joined fellow young leaders in a six-day convention centered on the theme “Combating Poverty, Achieving Prosperity for All.”

Throughout the six-day convention, the delegates gained new knowledge, perspectives, and leadership experiences that can be translated into meaningful actions within their community. The SSG recognizes that the fight against poverty begins with empowered and committed young leaders who are willing to turn learning into action, create opportunities, and contribute to sustainable community development.

With the lessons and inspiration gained from PITLC, the SSG San Marcelino Campus is ready to transform—from ideas into action, from leadership into service, and from learning into meaningful change for every student and the wider community.

Earlier today, September 7, 2026, during the First Monday Flag Raising Ceremony for the month of September, the PRMSU–San Marcelino Campus community gathered to celebrate, honor, and commission our student leaders through three major highlights:

Welcoming the new wave of leaders ready to serve, represent, and lead the student body with integrity, passion, and purpose! 🫶

The recently concluded Oath-Taking Ceremony of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) Officers for Academic Year 2026–2027 today marked a significant beginning for the newly elected student leaders of President Ramon Magsaysay State University – San Marcelino Campus. The ceremony served not only as a formal assumption of office but also as a meaningful reminder of the responsibilities, commitments, and values that come with student leadership. The activity was spearheaded by the Student Organization and Office of Student Affairs and Services Coordinator, Dr. Rico Falaminiano, with the presence and support of Prof. Ferdinand Domingo, the Campus Director, and Ms. Kwajalynne C. Alegre, the SSG Adviser.

Prior to the administration of the oath, Prof. Ferdinand M. Domingo delivered an inspiring message to the newly elected SSG officers. In his message, he emphasized that being a student government officer is more than simply holding a position or carrying a title. He reminded the officers that their positions should serve as a constant reminder of their responsibility to serve the student body, uphold the welfare of the students, and become responsible representatives of the academic community. His message highlighted the importance of humility, accountability, commitment, and genuine service in fulfilling their duties as student leaders.

Prof. Domingo further expressed the administration's strong support for the programs and activities initiated by the Supreme Student Government. He assured the officers that the administration remains supportive of student-led initiatives that contribute to the development, welfare, and overall university experience of the students. This message reinforced the importance of collaboration between the student government and the administration in creating meaningful programs and opportunities for the entire student body.

The Oath of Office was then formally administered by Prof. Ferdinand M. Domingo, with Dr. Rico Falaminiano and Ms. Kwajalynne Alegre serving as the witnesses to the ceremony. Through the oath, the newly elected officers formally committed themselves to faithfully perform their duties, uphold the principles and policies of the university, represent the interests of the students, and fulfill their responsibilities with integrity and dedication.

The ceremony concluded with a renewed sense of commitment among the newly inducted SSG officers. More than a ceremonial transition of leadership, the Oath-Taking served as the beginning of a new chapter of service, responsibility, and student-centered leadership for Academic Year 2026–2027. Guided by the administration's support and the commitment of the student leaders, the SSG looks forward to implementing programs and initiatives that will strengthen student participation, promote unity, and advance the welfare of the entire PRMSU San Marcelino Campus community.
