Due to class suspensions and inclement weather that prevent the safe conduct of physical face-to-face voting, the PRMSU SM - SSG Commission on Elections (COMELEC) officially announces that the SSG Election Proper 2026 has AUTOMATICALLY SHIFTED TO ONLINE MODALITY today, Monday, August 17, 2026, pursuant to Article I, Section 6 and Article V, Section 4 of the approved PRMSU SSG Election Guidelines.

The online election will be OPEN and ACCESSIBLE starting at 8:00 AM today until 5:00 PM.

The Student Organizations Office hereby announces the revised schedule for the Supreme Student Government (SSG) Election 2026 across all PRMSU campuses. The election is rescheduled to August 17–18, 2026.

In line with the revised schedule, the campaign period shall be extended until August 16, 2026, at exactly 11:59 PM. All candidates are reminded to observe the prescribed campaign period and comply with the applicable election rules and regulations.

All students are encouraged to take note of the revised schedule and actively participate in the electoral process. Further announcements and election-related guidelines shall be communicated through the official channels of the Student Organizations Office.

Pursuant to Article I, Section 6 and Article V, Section 4 of the approved PRMSU SSG Election Guidelines, and following the successful conclusion of HARAPAN 2026 on August 6, 2026, please be advised that the PRMSU SM - SSG ELECTION PROPER 2026 will be conducted face-to-face via MOVELEC (Moving Election) modality on Tuesday, 11 August 2026, starting from 8:00 AM onwards.

By virtue of Article IX, Section 5, members of the PRMSU SM - SSG COMELEC (Commissioner, Poll Clerks, and BEI Members) will physically visit each department and classroom across the campus to facilitate the official casting of votes.

IN CASE OF CLASS SUSPENSION / INCLEMENT WEATHER:

HAPAMAYANIAN 2026 officially opened today through an online forum, bringing together the PRMSU San Marcelino community despite the inclement weather to uphold democratic participation in the Supreme Student Government (SSG) elections.

Moderated by Dr. Eric D.S. Ebro, the virtual event marked the beginning of this year's HAPAMAYANIAN, providing aspiring student leaders with the opportunity to introduce themselves, present their platforms, and engage with fellow Ramonians as they vie for positions in the Supreme Student Government.

Although heavy rains prompted the shift to an online modality, the event proceeded smoothly, demonstrating the University's commitment to ensuring that every Ramonian remains informed and involved in the electoral process.

In his closing message, Prof. Ferdinand M. Domingo, Campus Director of PRMSU San Marcelino Campus, emphasized that genuine leadership shines brightest in the face of adversity.

β€œAmidst the storm, PRMSU SM Ramonians, are still a better and a good leader."
