The President Ramon Magsaysay State University (PRMSU) proudly congratulates the following academic programs across its campuses for successfully hurdling the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP) Accreditation Visit conducted on November 3โ€“7, 2025, affirming the Universityโ€™s continuing commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, and outcomes-based education.
A historic achievement was recorded by the PRMSU San Marcelino Campus, whose Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) program, with majors in English, Social Science, Biological Science, and Physical Science, attained Level IV Re-accredited Status, the highest possible level of accreditation awarded by the AACCUP, valid from November 16, 2025 to November 15, 2030. This distinction marks the second program in the entire University to achieve Level IV accreditation with no mandatory recommendation from AACCUP, and the first-ever undergraduate program in PRMSU to receive this prestigious recognition.

This milestone follows the historic accomplishment of the Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Administration at PRMSU Iba Campus, which became the first-ever program in the University to attain Level IV accreditation with no mandatory recommendation, achieved during the March 2025 accreditation cycle.

At the Iba Campus, the Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) program earned Level I Accredited Status, valid from November 16, 2025 to November 15, 2028. Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education (BTLEd) obtained Candidate Status, valid from November 16, 2025 to November 15, 2027, marking a significant step toward full accreditation.

The Botolan Campus also recorded a milestone as its BS in Environmental Science program was granted Candidate Status, valid from November 16, 2025 to November 15, 2027. Similarly, the BS in Information Technology program of the Candelaria Campus received Candidate Status, valid within the same period.

Meanwhile, the Sta. Cruz Campus received Level II Re-accredited Status with Revisit Extension for both the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) programs, with majors in Filipino, Social Studies, and Mathematics. The accreditation validity for these programs runs from December 1, 2025 to November 30, 2026.

These achievements reflect PRMSUโ€™s strong culture of quality assurance, academic excellence, and institutional commitment to delivering relevant and globally competitive education. The successful accreditation outcomes are the result of the collective dedication of university leaders, faculty members, staff, students, and stakeholders who continuously work together to strengthen the Universityโ€™s academic programs.
PRMSU likewise expresses its gratitude to the AACCUP accreditors and evaluation team for their guidance and valuable recommendations that contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the Universityโ€™s academic standards.

Congratulations to all PRMSU campuses and programs for this remarkable achievement!

Greetings from University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos and the entire PRMSU community!

This phenomenological study explored the lived experiences of student mothers who balance the dual responsibilities of pursuing higher education while raising their children, highlighting their struggles, motivations, and coping mechanisms. The findings underscore the resilience of student mothers and emphasize the need for supportive institutional policies such as campus daycare facilities and psychosocial support programs to help them successfully complete their college education.

His qualitative study explored sophomore college studentsโ€™ perspectives on modern-day heroism, revealing that contemporary heroes are characterized by goodness, sacrifice, compassion, helpfulness, and the ability to empower others. The findings, which highlighted parents, teachers, friends, overseas Filipino workers, and frontline workers as key role models, provide valuable inputs for strengthening civics, values education, and ethics instruction in higher education.

University President Dr. Roy N. Villalobos, the University Research Services Office (URSO) and the PRMSU community proudly recognize the author for his exemplary scholarly achievement.
