At 2:30 p.m. on March 12, 2026, the San Jose Elementary School community participated in the first quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) in compliance with the directive of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council through the Office of Civil Defense. The activity was led by Ma’am Loewela S. Concon, the school’s DRRM Coordinator. Upon hearing the alarm, pupils, teachers, and staff performed the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure before safely evacuating to their designated assembly areas. School officials then checked the buildings to ensure everyone had evacuated properly. The drill was completed in about six minutes, showing the school community’s cooperation and preparedness while reminding everyone of the importance of staying calm and ready during emergencies.
