As DepEd today rolled out Catch-up Fridays, Caruyagon Elementary School learners and teachers immersed themselves in this program to improve reading skills.

DepEd Memo 001, s. 2024 states that the Catch-up Fridays program dedicates half of every Friday to reading and the other half to values, peace, and health education.

So, drop everything and read. Don't mess up, just catch up!

They came, they saw, they conquered.

On October 3, two days before the World Teachers' Day celebration, Mrs. Felicidad L. Duras, District Supervisor of San Julian, together with Dr. Chesca Elaine E. Gabornes and Dr. Charlene C. Castillo trekked to Caruyagon Elementary School for a school visit.

With the aid of Nurse Benilda B. Calim and Nurse Malou M. Delmonte, Doc Chex Gabornes did a medical checkup to Kindergarten to G6 learners while Doc Cha Castillo provided dental checkup and health talk to them.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Duras and Mrs. Vanesa Gracia C. Casañas had a classroom observation on the G4 class of Miss Maricar A. Alagabia while Mr. Dennis O. Tejano and Mr. Denver J. Balaclaot observed the multigrade class of Miss Adelyn B. Badando.

Despite the sweat and sweltering heat of the sun conquering the rugged mountains leading to Sitio Caruyagon and Sitio Palo Uno, our visitors had a productive time delivering education and medical services to our learners.

The climb was all worth it!

Aldrin B. Labang went down the mountain to claim his silver medal and finished second in Editorial Cartooning (Filipino) today during the San Julian District Schools Press Conference.

It rained cats and dogs on Saturday but it didn't dampen the high spirits of class achievers when they received together with their parents their hard-earned certificates of recognition during the Q2 Portfolio Day on February 18.

Caruyagon Elementary School administrator and teachers responded positively to PBBM's challenge by being actively on board during the Mid-year In Service Training for Teachers held in Nena Elementary School on February 7-8, 2023.

School heads and teachers of Nena ES as the host school, Campidhan ES, Putong ES, and Caruyagon ES as participants to the aforesaid two-day INSET were able to fill their cups with knowledge and insights on teaching beginning reading using Marungko, PVOSBM (Phono Visual Oral Sound Blending Meaning), and Fuller Approaches. Demonstration teaching of select teachers ensued thereafter.

The conduct of school-based INSET activities are meant for teachers' continued professional development and the preparation of their instructional materials.

Newly-installed Caruyagon Elementary School TIC Glen Rey D. Opeña and teaching staff today paid a morning courtesy visit to BLGU-Putong Punong Barangay Lilibeth J. Moscosa and elected officials to discuss significant matters about school-community partnership.

It is evident that when school and community work together, they meet their mutual goals.
