Auxiliary Rear Admiral Jomar Dela Peña PCGA and Ms. Beverly Ciencia, Director of Operation Brotherhood Community Foundation Inc. (OBCFI), paid a courtesy call to Rear Admiral Roben N De Guzman PCG, Commander of the Coast Guard Civil Relations Service (CGCRS) on July 01, 2026 at Headquarters CGCRS, Ermita Manila.

The visit highlighted OBCFI’s ongoing efforts to bring literacy to isolated coastal communities through its OB Community Centers across various Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Districts. Facilitated by the Civil Relations Groups (CRGs), these centers serve as vital educational hubs, especially for children who cannot access formal schooling.

To sustain this initiative, OBCFI also trains CRG personnel, equipping them to effectively monitor and support these learning centers within their respective Areas of Responsibility (AOR).

This collaboration between PCG and OBCFI continues to empower remote maritime communities by providing essential education.
