The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila’s MWP (Ministry with PSDS – Persons in Street-Dwelling Situations) is appealing for support for our brothers and sisters in street-dwelling situations who are currently housed in our partner institutions and safe spaces.
As the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) intensifies Tropical Depression NENENG, with two other tropical cyclones being monitored both within and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), the situation remains a concern for our vulnerable communities.
During this time, our priority is to help ensure that the PSDS already sheltered by our partner institutions have access to food, basic necessities, and essential care as they remain safe from the effects of the weather.
We are preferably accepting the following donations:
🍱 Ready-to-Eat Hot Meals
☕ Coffee and Milk
🍞 Bread
💊 OTC Medicines – for colds, cough, and fever
💰 Monetary Donations
Your generosity can help provide comfort, nourishment, and protection to our brothers and sisters who are already under the care of our partner institutions.

Due to the heavy rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), afternoon classes today, August 17, 2026, in all levels, in both public and private schools in the City of San Juan, are hereby suspended to ensure the safety of everyone.

Please note that there were no rainfall warnings issued by DOST-PAGASA last night and early this morning, thus, there was no suspension of classes this morning. However, due to the current weather conditions and the current Yellow Rainfall Warning which gives the LGUs the discretion to suspend, we will be suspending afternoon classes today.

Please stay safe and continue to monitor official government channels for further announcements.
