Despite the cancellation of classes due to inclement weather, Mrs. Rodelyn S. Talor, kindergarten adviser, remained committed to ensuring that learning continues. Through a home visitation, she personally distributed activity sheets to her Kindergarten pupils, demonstrating her dedication to their education and well-being.

This initiative reflects the school's unwavering commitment to providing continuous learning opportunities, even during challenging times. Together, we continue to inspire, support, and reach every learner—rain or shine.

Due to Tropical Cyclone Wind Signals No. 1 and No. 2 currently raised over the Province of Abra because of Tropical Storm , classes in Kindergarten to Grade 10 in all public and private schools throughout the Province of Abra are automatically suspended today, August 5, 2026, pursuant to existing DepEd guidelines on class suspensions during tropical cyclones.

Parents, learners, and school personnel are advised to remain vigilant and monitor official announcements and weather updates as Tropical Storm Maymay approaches Northern Luzon.

The teaching staff of Silet Elementary School convened at the principal's office for an after-class meeting today August 4, 2026, led by Mrs. Windelma P. Alcantara, principal I.

The primary objective of the session was to echo the key agenda discussed during the recent Management Committee (MANCOM) conference held from July 30 to 31 in San Ildefonso, Ilocos Sur.

During the meeting , Mrs. Alcantara talked actionable measures aligned to optimize classroom instruction, streamline school operations, and elevate pupils learning outcomes.

By promptly cascading these division-level insights to her teaching staff, Mrs. Alcantara demonstrated proactive leadership and a steadfast commitment to maintaining high standards of quality education across all facets of the institution.

Learners of Silet Elementary School showcased their talent in singing Original Pilipino Music (OPM) in celebration of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino 2026 today July 31, in their respective classrooms as part of their performance task in Music and Arts.

Every last week of July is the celebration of Linggo ng Musikang Pilipino, by the virtue of presidential proclamation no. 933 signed by former president Benigno Aquino Jr., to showcase, recognize, and give importance to the Original Pilipino Music (OPM)and to support local musicians as we take pride of our culture and strengthen identify of the Filipino people through the art of music.

LOOK || Rural Health Unit of San Juan Conducts Comprehensive Medical Assessment for Silet Elementary School Learners and Teachers-Coaches

Prioritizing learners and coaches health and well-being ahead of the upcoming school sports activities, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of San Juan conducted a comprehensive medical checkup for learners at Silet Elementary School today, July 29, 2026.

Led by Dr. Edgar M. Bernardino, the healthcare team provided vital health screenings to learners from Kindergarten through Grade 6. The medical evaluation focused on key baseline measurements and vital signs necessary to clear students for active participation in the upcoming school intramurals, including:

-Height and weight tracking to evaluate growth and physical development.
- Blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate checks to assess cardiovascular and respiratory fitness.
In addition the health team administered the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine to Grade 4 female learners. This preventive health initiative plays a crucial role in safeguarding young girls against HPV-related infections and reducing the long-term risk of cervical cancer.

Teaching staff, and learners of Silet Elementary School extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. Edgar M. Bernardino, Mrs. Aunel Joy Jaquias Tuscano, and the entire RHU San Juan medical team.

The dedicated service, generosity of time, and steadfast commitment to community health ensure that our learners remain healthy, protected, and ready to perform at their best both in the classroom and on the playing field.
