Beyond the recognitions, the DSPC 2026 gave DCAN student journalists the opportunity to put their skills to work under the demands of competition, from writing and editing to broadcasting, photography, and collaborative publishing.
Behind every medals were days of preparation, trainings, and deadlines. The Achievers recognizes every student journalist who represented Dominican College San Juan and contributed to the publication’s participation in this year’s press conference, regardless of the category or result.
The publication likewise acknowledges 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘃𝗶𝘅𝘆𝘇 𝗔. 𝗔𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗮, Moderator of The Achievers, for his guidance and support throughout the students’ preparation and participation.
The Achievers also extends its appreciation to 𝗦𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗚𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶 𝗦. 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗮, 𝗢.𝗣., 𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹; 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮. 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆 𝗕. 𝗢𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻, 𝗩𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰𝘀; and the entire 𝗗𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 for their continued support of campus journalism and the students who carry it forward.
The press conference may have ended, but the work continues. May these recognitions serve not as the finish line, but as another reason to keep asking questions, writing with purpose, and holding the pen to account.
May Vox, Vis, Veritas be with them always!
