Due to extreme heat (heat index is expected to reach 45 degrees Celsius), face-to-face (in-person) classes in all levels of public schools in San Juan City are hereby suspended. Schools are advised to shift to online or asynchronous modes.

In accordance with the Division Advisory No. 331, s. 2023, entitled International Math Competitions and Trainings of MOTLI, let’s give a round of applause to JuanSci’s awardees in the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗮𝗱 (PhiMO) Heat Round held on April 14, 2024.

Our mathletes bagged an astounding 17 recognitions — 𝟭 𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹, 𝟲 𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝟳 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘇𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗹𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟯 𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀. All medalists are qualified to join the PhiMo Final Round, which will take place later this year at the EVM Convention Center, Quezon City.

This win is another testament to the extraordinary computational literacy honed by the city’s 𝘊𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘹𝘤𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. 👏

WOOSH! 💥💨

Hoo! They got the speed! Students of San Juan City Science High School showcased their ability to cooperate and think as they strive to finish their missions.

The Geometry Dash (Math Relay) just finished this morning at the school canteen. Skilled mathletes from all grade levels teamed up in a fun-filled series of activities composed of skip counting, tower of hanoi, sudoku puzzles, and rubik’s cubes. In the end, the team with the shortest combined time prevailed as the champion.

Students from grade 7 - 10 were seen putting colors and fun to Math’s intricate patterns in every creative way one can think of!

This year’s Puzzle Palooza (Tessellation Making Contest) took place earlier today at the school’s journalism room. Supervised by Math Club & Math 117 officials and teachers, the artists crafted their pieces within 2 hours using the materials of their choice.
