From the Surfing Capital of the North – San Juan, marking a proud moment in La Union’s sporting history, Sto. Rosario Elementary School, San Juan, La Union etched its name in excellence as it became the first school to win and qualify for the Elementary Girls Volleyball category in the Region 1 Athletic Association (R1AA) Competition.

This remarkable achievement reflects the unwavering dedication, teamwork, and perseverance of the young athletes, their coaches, and the school community – bringing honor not only for the school but to the entire Province of La Union. This historic win proves that greatness begins young – and the future of volleyball is brighter than ever!

Ash Wednesday marks the start of Lent, a 40-day season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in Christianity. It is a day of repentance and reflection, where believers receive ashes on their foreheads to symbolize mortality and the need for reconciliation with God.
