GALAW PILIPINO: Learning Through Fun and Movement!

Last Friday, August 28, 2026, our Grade 11 students successfully conducted their Final Performance Task in Physical Education with the theme:

“GALAW PILIPINO: The Science Behind Filipino Traditional Games”
Discovering Anatomy, Movement, and Culture Through Palaro ng Lahi

Our BSTH students enjoyed different traditional Filipino games such as Tumbang Preso, Patintero, Luksong Tinik, and Sipa.

There was also a PINOY MOVEMENT CHALLENGE ARENA: “Can You Move Like a Champion?” where students had fun while showing their skills and movements.

One group also prepared a creative poster explaining the basic mechanics of the games and the body parts and movements used while playing. Another group of Grade 11 students assisted and guided the elementary students in every activity station.

Even though we did not have a separate Buwan ng Wika program, this activity became a meaningful way to remember and celebrate our Filipino pride and culture through the traditional games of our ancestors. Through every run, jump, kick, and game, we were reminded of the fun and value of our Palaro ng Lahi.

Even when the heavy rain came in the middle of the activity, the fun did not stop! After the rain, the games continued!

Congratulations, Grade 11 students, for a successful and meaningful activity! Thank you for bringing together fun, learning, teamwork, Filipino culture, and movement in one exciting day!
