The Junior Association of Community Development Professionals (𝐉𝐀𝐂𝐃𝐏𝐫𝐨) will be conducting a webinar with the theme: “Empowering Communities Through Effective and Inclusive Organizing," on March 19, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M.

Ms. Quennie Faye “Niq” Maravillas, a development and policy specialist will share her knowledge and expertise in practical strategies and real-life applications of community organizing.

This initiative aims to equip BS in Community Development students with the necessary knowledge and skills to become effective community organizers. By learning from experts, students can enhance their ability to engage, mobilize, and empower communities in meaningful and sustainable ways.

📢 Attention GAD Focal Point System of All Provincial, City, Municipal, and Barangay Governments, DILG, Regional Offices, and All Other Concerned Parties

The Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Budget and Management (DBM), and the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), has issued Joint Memorandum Circular (JMC) 2024-01: Revised Guidelines on the Localization of the Magna Carta of Women (MCW).

The revised JMC 2024-01 aims to streamline the preparation, submission, review, and endorsement process for Gender and Development (GAD) Plans and Budgets (GPBs) and GAD Accomplishment Reports (GAD ARs) of Local Government Units (LGUs). This revision seeks to enhance the localization of the MCW, strengthen the supervisory functions of higher-level LGUs over their component LGUs, and define the oversight roles of key national agencies (DILG, PCW, DBM, NEDA) in ensuring effective MCW localization.
