DWCSJ Holds Orientation Program on ESC and SHS Voucher Program

The Basic Education Department of Divine Word College of San Jose (DWCSJ) conducted an Orientation Program on the Educational Service Contracting (ESC) and Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP) for parents and guardians of Grade 7 and Grade 11 students on September 11, 2026, at the Fr. McSherry Gymnasium, Divine Word College of San Jose.

The orientation aimed to provide parents and guardians with essential information and a clearer understanding of the government subsidy programs available to qualified students enrolled in participating private schools.

A major part of the orientation was the discussion of DepEd Order No. 11, s. 2026, entitled “Revised Guidelines on the Implementation of Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education in the Department of Education.” The discussion highlighted the important provisions and requirements that parents and guardians need to know as beneficiaries of the ESC and SHS Voucher Program.

Among the key topics discussed were the eligibility criteria, application process, requirements and procedures for availing of the subsidy, and the grounds for termination of the subsidy. Parents were also oriented on other important policies, responsibilities, and guidelines governing the implementation of the programs.

The orientation served as an avenue for DWCSJ to ensure that parents and guardians are well-informed, guided, and equipped with the necessary knowledge regarding the government assistance provided to qualified students. It also emphasized the importance of compliance with the prescribed requirements and guidelines to ensure the continued availment of the educational subsidy.

Through this initiative, DWCSJ continues to uphold its commitment to providing accessible and quality education while ensuring transparency and proper communication with parents and guardians.

The school likewise recognizes the importance of the ESC and SHS Voucher Program in helping make private education more accessible to Filipino learners and in providing families with additional support in pursuing quality education for their children.

The successful conduct of the orientation reflects DWCSJ’s continuing commitment to service, integrity, and competence, particularly in assisting students and their families in making the most of the educational opportunities available to them.
