Student Society of Information Technology - OMSC San Jose Campus

The Student Society of Information Technology, together with the Cyber Animators, Cyber Innovators, IT Performing Artists, and the Campus Christian Ministry Club, proudly emerged as the Champion in the Christmas Decoration Competition during Paskuhan 2025, organized by the Supreme Student Government – San Jose Campus.

This achievement is a true reflection of unity, dedication, and the unwavering creativity of every member who took part in the planning, crafting, and decorating process. Your teamwork, late-night preparations, and passion to represent our department with excellence made this victory truly meaningful.

We brought it home! This triumph is not just about winning it is a celebration of our shared spirit, commitment, and collaboration. We extend our deepest appreciation to each student, officer, and adviser who contributed their time, talent, and support.

As a reward for this outstanding accomplishment, the SSIT proudly received ₱2,000.00.

The Student Society of Information Technology (SSIT) successfully held Technolympics 2025 last week, Friday, November 28, 2025.

This year’s Technolympics featured exciting competitions including the Singing Competition, Speed Typing, On-the-Spot Coding, Digital Poster Making, Traditional Poster Making, Mobile Legends Tournament, and the much-awaited Mr. & Ms. Technolympics 2025.
After the competitions, students came together for engaging Team Building exercises, strengthening camaraderie and collaboration within the department.

A vibrant celebration of creativity, skill, and teamwork — marking another successful year for SSIT.

LOOK: The SSIT Officers hosted an exciting late Halloween event for BSIT students from November 7–13, 2025, held inside the SSIT Office. The highlight of the activity, “CRACK THE CURSE,” challenged students to pick a folded paper containing a multiple-choice Java programming question that they needed to answer correctly. Those who succeeded received fun rewards such as candies, Kopiko Blanca, ballpens, correction tape, and chocolates.

The event not only brought the late Halloween spirit to life but also provided a meaningful opportunity for students to refresh and strengthen their Java programming knowledge. The SSIT Officers were truly delighted to witness the enthusiasm, energy, and enjoyment of all participants throughout the event.

Due to the ongoing impact of Super Typhoon Uwan, all classes and academic activities will be suspended on November 10–11, 2025.

The Student Society of Information Technology urges everyone to stay indoors, keep updated with official advisories, and prioritize safety at all times. Please take necessary precautions, secure essential needs, and check on family members and loved ones.

In compliance with Memorandum Circular No. 106 issued by the Office of the President of the Republic of the Philippines, all classes across OMSC campuses are suspended on Monday, November 10, 2025, and Tuesday, November 11, 2025, due to Typhoon Uwan.

Work operations in all campuses are likewise suspended on November 10 and will remain suspended until further notice, pending updates on weather conditions and safety advisories.
