𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞

Long after the torch leaves the hand that once lit it, it still knows how to burn.

It begins with a small flame held inside a young passionate heart, one word of encouragement, a single patient explanation and one more chance after getting the answer wrong.

Just one person.

One person sparks curiosity for learning and lights the path to find hope and passion
within. After all, teaching does not usually begin with grand success, but with inspiration that does not waver, and the origin of just another lifesaver.

Students learn it when a teacher patiently repeats an explanation for the third time. They hold onto it when a wrong answer is met not with ridicule, but with another chance to try. They absorb it in the small reminders to keep going when the workload feels heavier than their own schoolbags.

None of these lessons ever reach the board; they endlessly kindle into flames that could never be ignored.

Behind every smile inside the classroom may be a story left unspoken. Teachers walk in carrying worries of their own, yet leave enough room for the worries of others. They set their burdens aside to lend their light to students who need it most.

Finally, what was once only borrowed light begins to shine from within.

For years, teachers' roles may seem to simply teach. But somewhere along the way, their light begins to live within the soul of others. A single correction becomes engraved confidence. A simple “You can do it,” becomes the courage to stand up and try again. Even a stern reminder lingers long after the lesson is forgotten, not as words to merely listen to and repeat, but as a voice that slowly teaches a student to always hope, and to forever believe.

What lit their way in now becomes another flame for someone walking in the deepest of the dark. The torch of wisdom and hope is now passed onto the new generation from one spark to another.

One day, teachers and students will leave their classrooms, but the light will continue to illuminate. Somewhere beyond those four walls, that same light shall someday reach someone—a struggling classmate, a younger student, or somebody who simply needs to hear that they can keep going to overcome all the trials and tribulations, and storms of life. And so, what was once given becomes something worth giving again, proving that a teacher’s light does not end when the lessons do. It lives on, and it stays inside the undying mind of every person who chooses to pass it forward.

Borrowed at first, carried forward, and someday passed into another pair of hands. The fire is rekindled to ignite the future.

Long even after the classroom falls silent, the flames will keep on passing the torch that once revived the blazing tomorrow. Because the light of a teacher was never meant to glow for just one student—this firestarter lives on, until the darkness ends with the next dawn.

🌏 FCPC EXPANDS INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIPS WITH THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY – HA GIANG CAMPUS, VIETNAM!

Continuing its commitment to internationalization, First City Providential College (FCPC) visited Thai Nguyen University – Ha Giang Campus to explore opportunities for academic collaboration and future partnerships. The initiative also highlights FCPC’s endorsement of three (3) exchange student interns under the IAESTE Educational and Cultural Experience Program, providing them with valuable international learning and cultural immersion opportunities. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Hung, Branch Deputy Director, together with the university’s department officers and administrators.

🌏 FCPC STRENGTHENS INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP WITH THE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF THAI NGUYEN UNIVERSITY (ISTNU), VIETNAM!

As part of its commitment to internationalization, First City Providential College (FCPC) conducted an institutional meeting with ISTNU on September 22, 2026, highlighting its endorsement of eight (8) FCPC exchange students under the IAESTE Educational and Cultural Experience Program. The delegation, led by Jhon Eric D. Baria, MBA - Director of the Cultural and the Arts Office, together with Ms. Marivic Delfino – Officer, Center for Local and International Linkages, Ms. Trexzy Bagarino – Officer, Office of the President, Ms. Enjeline Siason – Officer, Student Development Office and was warmly welcomed by Dr. Hoang Thi B**h Thao, Head of the International Department.

This engagement further strengthens FCPC’s global connections and opens more opportunities for international learning and collaboration.

As part of First City Providential College’s continuing commitment to internationalization, a cultural dance exchange was conducted with Vietnamese students of the 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢 𝐍𝐠𝐮𝐲𝐞𝐧 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐍𝐔) 𝐢𝐧 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦, highlighting the richness of Filipino cultural heritage through dance.

The cultural exchange featured the teaching and learning of Sayaw Tanglawan, a traditional dance inspired by the cultural identity and heritage of the City of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Through this initiative, Vietnamese students were given the opportunity to experience Filipino artistry, understand the cultural stories behind the movements, and appreciate the diversity of Philippine traditions.

The workshop was personally choreographed and facilitated by 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐃. 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚, 𝐌𝐁𝐀, 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐞, who guided the Vietnamese students in learning the choreography, movements, expressions, and cultural interpretation of Sayaw Tanglawan.

The cultural exchange in Vietnam is another testament to FCPC’s belief that our traditions deserve to be experienced, appreciated, and celebrated internationally.

Because when we share our culture, we do not simply teach a dance, we share our identity, tell our stories, and build bridges between nations.

𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗣𝗘 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲: 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝘂𝗽𝘂𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗮 𝗞𝗮𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘆

Sa bawat taludtod, hinahanap ang bawat salitang kayang magbigay-hugis sa mga wangis o anyo sa likod ng pisara na hindi kayang sabihin ng mga payak na salita.

Sila ang mga nasa ilalim ng mga nakaarkong kilay o ’di naman kaya’y mga ngiting nagliliwanag. Sa isang kuwento, sila ang bidang nakatayong matatag. Bawat makabuluhang salitang isinasambit ay tila agos na tumatangay sa kaisipan ng mga nakaupong walang muwang.

Sila ang humahawak sa mga kamay ng mga musmos na Juan sa daang puno ng mga yapak na walang kasiguraduhan. Higit pa sa dugong nag-uugnay, ang wagas nilang dedikasyon ay humuhubog hindi lamang ng kaisipan, kundi pati ng buhay na aakay sa mga dalisay na pangarap ng mga mag-aaral.

Kaya kung sakali mang mabigyan ang bawat isa ng pagkakataong buklatin ang mga pahinang pinagsulatan ng mga estudyante para sa mga g**o, makikita ng kanilang dalawang mata kung gaano kaganda ang mundong ipinapakita ng kanilang puso at tinig sa bawat estudyanteng prenteng nakikinig sa kanilang harapan.

𝗨𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮: 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘆 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗮𝗮 𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝘁𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗮𝘆.

Sa bawat pagdampi ng dulo ng pluma sa mga papel, may mga salitang pilit na hinahanap upang maipinta ang isang pasasalamat na hindi sumasapat sa karaniwang kataga. Sa bawat kahig ng mga letra ay pagtangkang ipaalam kung gaano kagaan ang buhay kapag nariyan ang mga g**o. Sila ang umaagapay at gumagabay na tila hindi sapat ang salita para ilarawan ang mga bagay na hindi kayang sambitin nang harapan—ang paghanga, pagkilala, at respeto sa mga maestrong tumatayo sa harap ng pisara upang gumabay patungo sa pagkatuto.

Higit sila sa isang propesyon—isa rin silang magulang na saksi sa paglaki ng mga kabataan. Hinuhubog ang mga isipang salat sa kasanayan, kasabay ng pagtuklas ng kanilang kakayahan. Sa likod ng bawat doktor, inhinyero, siyentipiko, at maging kapwa g**o, naroon silang minsang umaalalay sa unang hakbang ng kanilang pagkatuto.

𝗜𝗸𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮: 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗶𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗼-𝗹𝗶𝗯𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗱𝘂𝗱𝘂𝗱𝗮.

Hindi gaanong nakikita sa bawat kuwentong naibabahagi ang mga gawaing binubuo, mga araling sinusuri, mga presentasyong pinaghahandaan, at ang mga ginugugol ng isipan gabi-gabi na tanging ang buwan ang nagiging kanlungan upang makapagsimula ng umaga nang may ngiti sa mga labi.

Naroroon pa rin sila.

Nagpapatuloy sa kabila ng mga pagsubok na pinagdaraanan, isinasantabi ang mga pagtatanong ng isipan, at walang humpay na sinisindihan ang minsang nauupos na mga nag-aalab na puso para magsilbi at magturo sa mga kabataan.

Kaya, mga maestro’t maestrang patuloy na nagiging inspirasyon ng bawat kabataan para magpatuloy, magpasikhay, at mas lalo pang magpakahusay—pagpupugay sa inyong lahat.

Malinaw sa kaibuturan ng puso ng mga mag-aaral na hindi lamang ito simpleng serbisyong kailangang mapanindigan, bagkus isang minimithing pangarap na binuo ng inyong mumunting isip noong kayo ay nagsisimula pa lamang. Hindi lang ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan, sapagkat ang mga g**o rin ay isa sa mga bahaging nagbibigay ng pag-asa sa kabataan.

𝗜𝗸𝗮𝘁𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗮: 𝗔𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝘀𝗮 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗸𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻.

Darating ang panahon na ang mga mistulang prenteng nakaupo lamang sa kanilang mga silya ay magiging tulad din ng mga g**ong tumitindig nang matuwid at may paninindigan sa serbisyong sinumpaan. Isa-isang makakamit ang mga pangarap na minsang ibinahagi sa loob ng apat na sulok ng silid-aralan.

Nariyan ang mga pagkakataong liliparin na sa kanilang mga alaala ang bawat aralin, ang mga mabababang markang nakukuha, ang gantimpala sa mga pagsusulit, ngunit nananatili sa sisidlan ng kanilang puso’t isipan ang isang bagay—

Ang mga g**ong tumayong ina at ama sa pangalawang tahanan.

Kayo ang pangalawang naniwala sa kakayahan ng bawat kabataan, pangalawang nanatili kahit binabatikos na ng mga unos at pagdududa.

Kayo ang mga g**ong mahigpit ang kapit sa pag-alalay upang hindi maligaw ang bawat isa sa tinatahak na daan tungo sa pag-abot ng pangarap at kinabukasan.

Kaya naman, bago pa makalipat ang pluma sa susunod na mga taludtod at matagumpay na makarating sa pinakahuling pahina, nasulat na ng mga estudyante ang salitang “Aming g**o, maraming salamat, mahal kita,” sapagkat higit pa sa isang selebrasyon, nahuhubog ang pagmamahal na handog sa bawat mag-aaral kahit saan mang panig ng mundo.

Lalo lamang lumilinaw sa bawat gunita ng mga estudyante na hindi lamang sa simpleng pagsulat nila nananatili ang lahat ng mga damdaming nais ipabatid upang maramdaman ng bawat g**o ang pasasalamat—kundi upang makuha ang pagkakataong makita ng bawat isa ang sarili sa paraang matagal na nilang nakikita.

Congratulations to FCPC College of Computer Studies for emerging as the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻 in the Micro Short Film Competition.

The college also received the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 and 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 awards, further highlighting the exceptional talent, creativity, and dedication of the students and production team behind the film.
