𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝) 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞!🤩 We thank Secretary Sonny Angara for expressing his support to implementing Scouting in schools nationwide during the Committee on Appropriations Briefing on the Proposed 2025 Budget of the Department of Education (DepEd). Responding to a question raised by Cong. Peter Miguel, Secretary Angara affirmed that DepEd, under his leadership, will be supportive of measures institutionalizing Scouting in schools. Cong. Miguel, together with BSP National President Cong. Dale B. Corvera, are members of the Philippine Legislators Union for Scouting (PLUS) which was established pursuant to House Resolution No. 521. A similar manifestation of support for Scouting was also made by Cagayan de Oro Cong. Rufus Rodriguez during the same hearing. The BSP anticipates the active participation and support of Secretary Angara as a mandated member of the National Executive Board under Republic Act No. 7278. #Scouts #ScoutsPH

Ngayong Araw ng mga natatanging mga Bayani ng ating kasaysayan, kaisa ang Boy Scouts of the Philippines ng mga Pilipino sa pagbibigay-pugay at pag-gunita sa ating mga Bayani na nagsakripisyo ng kanilang mga buhay para sa ating tinatamasang kalayaan, pati na rin ang mga makabagong Bayani na patuloy na tumutulong na paunlarin ang ating lipunan.

Sa bawat araw, taon, siglo at mga panahon na lilipas, nawa'y patuloy silang magbigay inspirasyon at mas pag-alabin pa sa puso ng mga Pilipino ang diwa ng pagmamahal sa ating bayan. Mabuhay ang Lahing Pilipino!

As School Year 2024-2025 opens, the Department of Education reiterated that the membership fees for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines are exempted from the “No Collection Policy”.

Through the issuance of DepEd Memorandum No. 041, s. 2024, the DepEd reiterated the exemption from the'No Collection Policy' consistent with the provisions of Republic Act No. 4206. This paves the way for the continuous membership of learners to the BSP as a recognized co-curricular activity by the DepEd.
