"Bridging the Gap: Leadership Strategies for Overcoming Learning Loss in Post-Pandemic Philippine Education"
Recognized as a Best Research Presentation at the International Research and Innovation Summit 2025, this study by Abegail P. Macadaya examined how school leadership can help address persistent learning gaps and advance educational recovery in the post-pandemic Philippine context.
The research explored the challenges confronting school leaders, including resource limitations, teacher burnout, socioeconomic disparities, and unequal access to educational opportunities. Its findings highlight three interconnected approaches to learning recovery: Instructional Leadership, Equity-Driven Interventions, and Community Collaboration.
Building on these findings, the study proposes a Sustainable Leadership Framework for Learning Recovery that emphasizes data-driven decision-making, adaptive leadership, professional development, equitable resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement. The framework underscores strong leadership's role in strengthening learning continuity, building teacher capacity, supporting disadvantaged learners, and fostering resilient, inclusive schools.
Ultimately, the research presents the post-pandemic period as an opportunity for educational transformation through innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity, toward a more equitable and effective Philippine education system.
