Starting Monday, June 22, 2026, Gaya-Gaya Elementary School will officially implement the GUARDIAN SCHOOL ID SYSTEM for Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Special Needs Education (SNED) learners.

This school initiative aims to ensure the safety and security of all learners by allowing only duly registered guardians with official Guardian School ID Cards to fetch learners and transact with the school.

We ask for the full cooperation of parents and guardians in observing this policy and supporting our shared goal of maintaining a safe and orderly school environment.

On June 18, 2026, the Schools Division Office (SDO) underscored its commitment to safety and quality education during the first week of the instructional block as PSDS Dr. Ma. Socorro B. Lindo, together with Education Program Supervisors Esperanza D. Española and Dr. Maria Christina H. Nogoy, visited Gaya-Gaya Elementary School. Moving around the campus to ensure learner safety, they provided technical assistance to the school head and master teacher, with discussions centering on teaching load, the ILAW format of lesson plans, SNED classes, class size, and the availability of books and modules.

On June 18, 2026, the National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) at Gays-Gaya Elementary School was successfully carried out through the coordinated efforts of the Barangay Police of Gaya-Gaya, the City Traffic Management Team of San Jose Del Monte, and Christian Ecclesiastical School, which served as the evacuation site for learners and teachers.

In line with the school’s participation in the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, please be advised that increased traffic congestion is expected around the vicinity of Gaya-Gaya Elementary School during the conduct of the drill.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Grade 6 Copernicus parents, under the dedicated advisership of Ms. Magielyn Rey, for their generous donation of an electric fan. Your kindness and support truly embody the spirit of community and care. This thoughtful contribution will greatly enhance the comfort and well-being of our learners, creating a more conducive environment for their growth and learning.

Demonstrating their commitment to their children’s education and well-being, the parents of the Grade 6 learners under the supervision of Mr. Villaruel donated an electric fan to help improve classroom conditions amid the rising temperatures.

Education champion and SK Chairman Mark Angelo G. Aguirre of Barangay Gaya-Gaya donated an a gallon of paint and an electric fan to help ease the effects of the high heat index inside the classroom, providing students with a more comfortable learning environment.

Strengthening School Safety Through Technical Support, Partnership, and Stakeholders' Engagement

In a strong move to ensure a secure, inclusive, and supportive learning environment, Gaya-Gaya Elementary School successfully hosted the "Strengthening School Safety Through Technical Support, Partnership, and Stakeholders' Engagement" program. The activity brought together key community leaders, parents, and education stakeholders in a united effort to prioritize the safety, well-being, and holistic development of every learner.

This proactive initiative was spearheaded by the Schools Governance and Operations Division (SGOD). The program was led by SGOD Head Ms. Esperanza Diaz-Cruz, together with her dedicated team members Ms. Merlita D. Ynciong, Ms. Sheran M. Ballesteros, Mr. Manuel T. Caliboso, and Mr. Mark Jason Gonzales. Through their guidance and expertise, participants were equipped with valuable technical support and strategic insights aimed at strengthening school safety measures and enhancing disaster preparedness within the school community. The program was aligned with the initiatives of Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Leonardo C. Canlas and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Mina Gracia L. Acosta, who continue to champion safe, resilient, and learner-centered schools across the division.

The event highlighted the importance of collaboration in building a resilient and hazard-ready educational environment. Active participation was seen from District 8 School Heads, School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Coordinators, and School Partnership Coordinators under the leadership of Dr. Ma. Socorro B. Lindo-PSDS, who shared their commitment to fostering safe and learner-centered schools.

A notable feature of the program was the strong engagement of community stakeholders. The School Parents-Teachers Association (SPTA) President joined forces with Barangay Representatives from Graceville and Gaya-Gaya, demonstrating the community's collective responsibility in supporting and sustaining school safety initiatives. Their presence underscored the significance of integrating local resources, expertise, and partnerships into the school's safety framework.

Hon. Enry Ryan Santos, Barangay Chairperson, also graced the conference and expressed his full support for all initiatives aimed at improving school safety and enhancing the learning environment. He emphasized the barangay's commitment to partnering with the school in promoting the welfare, security, and development of all learners.

Adding warmth and support to the event, Hon. Mayor Mayor Ate Rida Robes extended her love and commitment to education by generously sponsoring the breakfast for all participants. Her thoughtful gesture was greatly appreciated and reflected the local government's unwavering support for programs that promote the welfare and safety of learners, teachers, and school personnel.

Through strengthened partnerships, technical assistance, and active stakeholder engagement, the schools of District 8 will continue to reinforce their commitment to creating safe, nurturing, and disaster-resilient learning environments where every child can learn, grow, and thrive.
