In an effort to deliver community-focused nursing education, the Colegio de San Gabriel Arcangel, Inc. (CDSGA) College of Nursing recently visited Bahay Kalinga located in San Jose Patag, Sta. Maria, Bulacan, to discuss a potential partnership for student clinical deployment.
The collaboration is designed to give CDSGA nursing students practical learning opportunities in elderly care while simultaneously supporting the facility's healthcare initiatives. This hands-on rotation will help students develop crucial skillsโsuch as empathy, communication, professionalism, and patient-centered careโunder the supervision of experienced healthcare professionals.
Representatives from both organizations met to outline the proposed clinical program, define student learning goals, and finalize collaboration terms. This step underscores CDSGA's dedication to building strong community partnerships that equip future nurses to become capable and compassionate healthcare providers.
The success of this landmark partnership was made possible through the unwavering support and involvement of the institution's leadership. Sincere gratitude is extended to Esmeralda R. Perez (President) and Rolando G. Halili (BOT Secretary and Screening), alongside visionary leaders Dr. Charles Bryan P. Uriarte (Vice President for Academic Affairs) and Dr. Anthony Vincent E. Sta. Ana.
The CDSGA College of Nursing anticipates finalizing the agreement soon, which will broaden clinical training options and positively impact the local community.
