Do these three words confuse you sometimes? Don’t worry—you’re not alone! 🤍 Even the best writers mix them up because they sound exactly the same. But remember, even though they sound alike, they have very 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘀.

Use this when you’re pointing to where something is or saying something exists.

Use this when something belongs to someone.
✔️ Their teacher is very kind.
✔️ I like their teamwork.

💬 THEY’RE – 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 “𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦”
This is simply a contraction. If you can replace it with they are, it’s correct!
✔️ They’re studying for the quiz. (They are studying)
✔️ They’re happy with their results.
