The Department of Education (DepEd), through the Literacy Coordinating Council, is one with the nation in celebrating the National Literacy Week this September 2 to 8, 2023.

Focusing on the theme "Buiding a Culture of Literacy: The Power of Communities as Catalysts of Literacy Development," this year's celebration highlights the role that communities play in promoting literacy skills among learners and individuals.
