Sometimes, multiplying two numbers with similar digits might take us a few seconds to accomplish. But today, we have a math trick for multiplying numbers with the same first digit!

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝘀 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟳 - 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗶! 🫡

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲'𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘁:

When two numbers have the same first digit and their last digits add up to 10:

𝟭.) Multiply the first digit by the next whole number.
𝟮.) Multiply the last digits.
𝟯.) Put the answer at the end!

𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀:

𝟭.) 34 x 36
-> 3 x 4 = 12
-> 4 x 6 = 24

• 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: 1224

𝟮.) 52 x 58
-> 5 x 6 = 30
-> 2 x 8 = 16

• 𝗔𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿: 3016

⚠️ 𝗛𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: It only works when the two numbers have the same first digit and the last digits add up to 10. It is also only applicable for multiplication. ❗

Hello there fellow people, today we will be learning a new math trick that uses 𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙚𝙧𝙨 only in this procedure! 🫶🏻

You might already know how to multiply 𝟲×𝟲 𝗼𝗿 𝟵×𝟵 just by skip counting but that method can be 𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚢 𝚖𝚎𝚜𝚜𝚢. ⏱️ So the Sipnayan Club has prepared you the best trick that can reduce your confusion to multiplying! 😱

📌You must assign 6 through 10 to your fingers on both hands.

• 𝗧𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗯: 10
• 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝘅 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿: 9
• 𝗠𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿: 8
• 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿: 7
• 𝗣𝗶𝗻𝗸𝘆 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿: 6

Touch the two factors together, the touching fingers and lower fingers will be count as tens. For the fingers above, they will be multiplied to each other.

Example: 9 × 9
𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗢𝗻𝗲: Touch the fingers, the index fingers which are nine.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝘄𝗼: Count the touching fingers and those below as tens. In this example, we have 8 fingers so it equals to 80.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲: Look at the fingers above the touching fingers. On your left hand you have 1 finger standing up, on your right hand you have one. Multiply these two number together: 1×1=1

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽: Add them together, add your tens and ones to get the final product: 80 + 1 = 81

😓 This method only works with 6×6 to 10×10 because you only have 10 fingers to represent 6-10 numbers. You cannot have 6×5 or below because you do not have enough fingers to do the procedure.

This only works for even numbers multiplied by five. Odd numbers multiplied by five will result in a decimal number answer.
