Deped Tayo - Youth Formation Division SDO - SJDMC

Following the successful implementation of the Youth Commission on Elections and Appointments' Interim Guidelines [Youth COMEA], the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns (OASYASC), through the Youth Formation Division (YFD), will hold a face-to-face activity titled Writeshop on the Crafting of YFD Student Organizations' Standard Election Code on 10-14 October 2022 at Greene Manor Condotel in Pampanga.

This activity aims to craft guidelines and policies for the standard election code of all YFD student organizations, address gaps and improve the guidelines based on the systematic monitoring and inclusive evaluation conducted in the field offices and schools, and finalize the proposed standard election code to ensure relevance to the needs of field offices and learning centers.

This writeshop will be participated by selected Project Development Officers who handle the different programs of YFD such as the Student Government Program (SGP) for the SPG and SSG, National Greening Program (NGP) for the Youth for Environment in Schools Organization (YES-O), and Civic Engagement for the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Organization.

As part of the continuous improvement of the programs implemented by DepEd, the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Youth Affairs and Special Concerns – Youth Formation Division (OASYASC-YFD) will conduct the EduAksyon: SPG/SSG Elections Field Monitoring and Evaluation to selected parts of the country on September 12-16, 2022.

This activity aims to ensure systematic monitoring and inclusive evaluation during the conduct of the SPG/SSG Elections in schools nationwide and their compliance with the issuance of the Youth Commission on Elections and Appointments (Youth COMEA) for School Year 2022-2023.

This year, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) invites all young people to amplify their messages on leadership and community development. In the spirit of One ASEAN Identity, the youth of ASEAN are recognized as the current and future leaders of the region.

The Year of ASEAN Youth will remain consistent with the post-2020 vision of ASEAN youth development, focusing on fostering 21st century skills and digital skills, and the institutionalization of youth engagement mechanisms, guided by the soon-to-be-published ASEAN Work Plan on Youth 2021-2025.

The Youth Formation Division (YFD), in partnership with the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB), will host a 2-day virtual convention for the Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Program.

This year’s theme is “Addressing Drug Challenges in Health and Humanitarian Crises for the Youth.”

Through the promotion of drug prevention measures, this activity seeks to increase youth participation in drug abuse prevention initiatives and public awareness of the harmful consequences of illegal drugs.

This will be held on July 26-27, 2022 from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
