One week down... and it already feels like months! 😭✋

"Grabe, report ko tulos buwas."
"May index card ka?"
"Iyay na schedule."
"Sabi count off from 1–5... nakay nag 6 ka?"
"Ganito pala sa Liceo—maingay, mausok, at puno ng pangarap."

From first-day jitters to first-week chaos, we've all been there. New faces, new instructors, new routines, and countless "kaya pa ba?" moments. But despite the pressure, the deadlines, and the sleepless nights, we're still standing—and that's already something to celebrate. 🤩✨

The first week may have tested us, but it also gave us new friendships, unforgettable memories, and stories we'll laugh about for the rest of the semester.

So tell us...

ORIENTATION FOR OLD AND NEW STUDENTS | A.Y. 2026–2027

The English Mavericks proudly took part in the Orientation for Old and New Students, joining the LSJFI community in welcoming Academic Year 2026–2027. Alongside fellow Liceans, we gathered to prepare ourselves for the opportunities, challenges, and experiences that await us in the coming months. The event marked not only our return to campus but also the beginning of another meaningful chapter in our academic journey.

Every academic journey begins with orientation–not only to places and policies, but also to the values and responsibilities that shape our experience as students. Through the discussions and presentations, we were reminded of the importance of discipline, accountability, and active participation within the academic community. More importantly, the orientation introduced the support systems and resources available to help students thrive throughout the year.

As students and future educators, we are called not only to pursue academic achievement but also to contribute positively to the community around us. These values serve as guiding principles as we continue our journey as English Mavericks and Liceans.

As we move forward together, may we remain active participants in our own growth and responsible students of the LSJFI community. May this academic year inspire us to embrace new knowledge, meaningful experiences, and opportunities for leadership and service.💙✨

DP BLAST! DP BLAST! DP BLAST!

Hello, English Mavericks!

‎Hope everyone had a fun and relaxing vacation because it's officially time to swap our "last na talaga ini" mindset for deadlines, discussions, and the inevitable, "Ma'am/Sir, pwede pa po ma-extend?"

‎As classes begin this June 29, let's get our notebooks ready, dust off those dictionaries, and prepare for another year of reading stories, breaking down poems, and trying to figure out what the author really meant. Very scholar, very English major behavior. 😆

Here's to another year of learning, growth, and making more memories together.

‎Anyway, ready na ba kamo maging academic weapon again? From "one more episode" to "one more chapter," from complete sleep schedules to surprise quizzes, we're officially entering our student era again.

I am [NAME], a proud [YEAR LEVEL] English Maverick, officially saying goodbye to vacation mode and hello once again to deadlines, readings, recitations, and “later ko na himuon” moments.

Ready for another year of literary analyses, classroom discussions, recitations, and convincing myself that I already understand the reading after one quick scan (only to read it again five more times the night before class). 😆

College life may come with sleepless nights, surprise quizzes, and moments of questioning my life choices, but it also comes with lessons, experiences, friendships, and memories that make everything worth it.

As an English Maverick, I’m excited to learn, grow, make mistakes, improve, and create new stories worth looking back on someday. Together, as one department with one standard of excellence, we’ll continue to strive for growth while carrying the pride of being part of the English family. 💙

Here’s to another school year filled with learning, laughter, cramming sessions, shared struggles, small wins, and hopefully passing grades. See you around the campus, fellow Mavericks—let’s make Academic Year 2026–2027 one to remember! ✨

Are you ready, Mavericks? 💙

Welcome to Academic Year 2026–2027! ✨

Vacation was cute. It was fun. It was healing.

Unfortunately, the semester said, "I'm back." 😭

To our returning Mavericks and our freshies entering their college main character era, welcome to another year of learning, growth, and randomly realizing:

"Wait... why do I already need to buy yellow paper?"

As you begin your journey this school year, please remember the essentials:
🪪 Your ID
👔 Your proper uniform
🧠 Your brain (lalo na sa mga literature classes)

Bring your notebooks, your determination, and at least three pens because college pens don't disappear. They migrate... sa katakin mo.

Expect to hear iconic lines this semester such as:
“Guys, sin-o pa may extra yellow paper?"
"Guys, nano mga hirimuon?”

and everyone's favorite:
“Guys, may klase ba?”

Prepare yourselves for surprise quizzes, groupings where one member becomes a missing person case, and deadlines that spawn out of nowhere like NPC side quests.

Freshies, enjoy syllabus week while you can. Because very soon you'll experience the classic college character development package:

✨ "Buwas ko na lang himuon."
✨ "Ay, niyan gali an pasahan"
✨ "Lord, ikaw na bahala."

And somehow... you'll survive.

To our seniors: welcome back to the simulation.

To everyone manifesting an academic comeback this year:

May your coffee be strong, your Wi-Fi stable, and your groupmates responsive.

Welcome to the English Mavericks family! 💙

May this year be filled with learning, laughter, memories, and just enough academic pressure to build character but not enough to make us disappear from the GC.

See you around, Mavericks! ✨
