The San Jacinto National High School Community joins the nation in commemorating Ninoy Aquino Day, honoring the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering love for country of Benigno “Ninoy” S. Aquino Jr.

His life reminds us that true patriotism is not measured by words alone, but by the courage to stand for what is right, the strength to speak for those who cannot, and the willingness to serve a nation greater than oneself.

May his legacy continue to inspire us—especially the young generation—to become responsible citizens who value freedom, democracy, truth, unity, and service to others.

Today, we remember his sacrifice. Tomorrow, we carry forward the ideals he stood for.

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, signed by Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, Malacañang has directed the implementation of appropriate Alternative Work Arrangements (AWA) in government offices and the adoption of Alternative Learning Modes (ALMs) and learning continuity measures in both public and private schools on August 20, 2026 (Thursday).

This measure is being implemented as a precautionary measure in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall brought about by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).

All concerned are advised to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and prioritize safety and learning continuity.

Sa Memorandum Circular No. 131 na nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Ralph G. Recto, ipinag-utos ng Malacañang ang pagpapatupad ng naaangkop na alternative work arrangements sa mga tanggapan ng pamahalaan at alternative learning modes at learning continuity measures sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan bukas, Agosto 20, bilang paghahanda sa inaasahang patuloy na malakas na pag-ulan dulot ng habagat.
Ang hakbang ay alinsunod sa rekomendasyon ng National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) at dahil sa banta ng localized flooding at mga panganib sa paglalakbay dulot ng patuloy na pag-ulan.
Ipatutupad ang alternative work arrangements at alternative learning modes sa mga sumusunod na lugar:

Ang mga Contract of Service (COS) at Job Order (JO) workers na ilalagay sa alternative work arrangements ay patuloy na tatanggap ng kaukulang sahod o bayad, alinsunod sa umiiral na mga patakaran at regulasyon.
Ipinauubaya ng Malacanang sa mga Local Chief Executives ang kapangyarihang mag-pasiya kung kinakailangang suspendihin ang pasok sa mga lugar na kanilang nasasakupan na hindi napabilang sa memorandum circular.
Nasa diskresyon naman ng pamunuan ng pribadong sektor ang pagdeklara ng suspensyon sa trabaho.

This precautionary measure aims to prioritize the safety and well-being of learners, teachers, school personnel, and government employees amid the prevailing inclement weather.

Magtipon tayo sa araw na ito upang 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒕, 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏, 𝒂𝒕 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏 ang ating tapat na tagapagtanggol at patron ng ating bayan. Nawa’y patuloy niyang ipanalangin tayo at pagpalain ang bawat tahanan at mamamayan ng San Jacinto ng masaganang biyaya at kaligtasan. Maligay at mapagpalang kapistahan sa inyong lahat sa bayan ng San Jacinto, Pangasinan!
