LOOK || IIS LEVEL II TEEN TAMBAYAN EVALUATION RECEIVES POSITIVE FEEDBACK

Igangon Integrated School (IIS) received positive feedback from the distinguished evaluators from the Department of Health–Davao Region during the recent evaluation of its Level II Teen TAMBAYAN Center.

The evaluation team thoroughly scrutinized the school’s documentary requirements, programs, and practices to validate the implementation and sustainability of the Teen TAMBAYAN Center. The evaluators recognized several good practices and commendable initiatives being implemented by the school and expressed appreciation for the efforts that may also serve as meaningful examples for other schools pursuing accreditation.

IIS is honored to be among the schools in Davao del Norte being evaluated for Level II accreditation, reflecting the school’s continuing commitment to providing a safe, supportive, and adolescent-friendly environment where learners can access appropriate information, guidance, and support.

Present during the evaluation were Ms. Denverlyn Jill C. Ferolin, Senior Health Program Officer and designated Adolescent Health and Development Program Manager; Representatives from the Department of Health, and Ms. Catherine Cantalejo, Nurse II of the Division of Davao del Norte and ARH Focal Person.

The school’s documentary requirements and practices were presented and defended by Maam Sheila Mae G. Sedullo, School Guidance Advocate and Clinic-In-Charge; Maam Jai Bonghanoy, Barkada Kontra Droga (BKD) Focal Person; Sir Jake Rey Supnet, Teen TAMBAYAN Alternate; and Sir Alex B. Aporbo, School Principal.

The encouraging feedback from the evaluators serves as an affirmation of the collective efforts of the IIS community in strengthening programs that promote adolescent health, protection, well-being, and development.
At present, the school is awaiting the completion and submission of the noted documentary requirements prior to the issuance of the official Level II accreditation certificate.

This milestone inspires the IIS community to continue working together toward a Teen TAMBAYAN Center that is responsive, inclusive, and truly supportive of the needs and aspirations of every adolescent.

IN PHOTOS||IGANGON IS STRENGTHENS SCHOOL SAFETY THROUGH LOCKDOWN DRILL

September 3, 2026 | Igangon Integrated School, in collaboration with the San Isidro Police Station, Bureau of Fire Protection–San Isidro, MDRRMO–San Isidro, and Igangon Barangay Officials, successfully conducted a School Safety Lockdown Drill and Shooting Incident Simulation.

The activity was participated in by the PNP–San Isidro, BFP–San Isidro, MDRRMO–San Isidro, Igangon Barangay Officials headed by Hon. Nilo T. Manulat, Barangay Health Workers, and the teaching and non-teaching personnel of Igangon IS, led by School Principal Sir Alex B. Aporbo.

The simulation aimed to strengthen the school's preparedness, coordination, and emergency response capabilities in addressing possible shooting incidents, threats, and other forms of school violence. It also provided an opportunity to assess existing protocols and reinforce the importance of calm, timely, and coordinated action during emergencies.

During the post-drill evaluation, the overall performance received good commendations, reflecting the collective effort and cooperation of the participating agencies and school personnel. The evaluators also identified areas for further improvement, which will serve as valuable inputs in enhancing the school's safety and emergency response protocols.
Igangon IS extends its appreciation to all partner agencies, barangay officials, health workers,Parents, Learners, and school personnel for their active participation and commitment to keeping our learners and school community safe.

HAPPENING TODAY || KULMINASYON NG BUWAN NG WIKA AT ASEAN MONTH, NAGING MAKABULUHAN AT KASIYASIYA
Naging makabuluhan at kasiya-siya ang araw na ito para sa mga mag-aaral ng Igangon Integrated School sa pagdiriwang ng Kulminasyon ng Buwan ng Wika at ASEAN Month.

Maaga pa lamang ay abala na ang bawat mag-aaral sa paghahanda ng kanilang mga Fiesta sa Nayon booths, kung saan ipinamalas nila ang kanilang pagkamalikhain, pagtutulungan, at pagpapahalaga sa kulturang Pilipino.

Pagsapit ng tanghali, nagsalo-salo ang mga mag-aaral sa mga pagkaing inihanda para sa kanilang mga booth. Naging masaya ang pagsasalo-salo, na nagbigay-daan sa mas malalim na samahan at pagkakaisa ng mga mag-aaral.

Pagkatapos ng klase, isinagawa ang isang pagtitipon bilang pagtatapos ng pagdiriwang. Tampok dito ang mga pagtatanghal, pag-aanunsyo, at pagbibigay ng mga gantimpala sa mga nagwagi sa iba't ibang patimpalak.

Naging punong-abala sa paghahanda at pagsasagawa ng mga gawain sina Gng. Renefe Espenorio at Gng. Christine Sabaysabay, kasama ang mga g**o at mag-aaral na naging bahagi ng matagumpay na pagdiriwang.
Nagpaabot naman ng suporta at kagalakan ang ating Punong G**o, Alex Aporbo, sa naging matagumpay at makabuluhang pagdiriwang.

Ang araw na ito ay patunay na ang pagdiriwang ng wika at kultura ay hindi lamang tungkol sa mga paligsahan at programa, kundi tungkol din sa pagkakaisa, pagkakaibigan, pagtutulungan, at pagmamalaki sa ating pagkakakilanlan.

HAPPENING TODAY|| Igangon IS Inks MOA with RPSB and Barangay Officials to Strengthen School Safety

In response to recent security concerns that have heightened anxiety among students, teachers, and parents, Igangon Integrated School officially entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) today, August 24, 2026, to safeguard the well-being of the entire academic community. The signing ceremony took place on the school campus, marking a united front between educational administrators, law enforcement, and local government leaders to maintain a safe learning environment.

Under the newly established partnership, law enforcement and barangay personnel will maintain an active, visible presence on school premises to deter security threats and protect campus grounds. The agreement was formally signed by Sir Alex B. Aporbo, School Principal I of Igangon Integrated School, alongside PMSG Carlou O. Almedora, Team Leader of RPSB Igangon, and key Barangay Igangon officials, including Barangay Captain Hon. Nilo T. Manulat, Committee Chairman on Peace and Order Hon. Michael Bolonias, and Committee Chairman on Education Hon. Febe Pontimayor. Guidance Advocate Sheila Mae G. Sedullo served as an official witness to the proceedings.

Effective immediately upon signing, the agreement remains valid for three years with provisions for renewal upon mutual consent. By formalizing this collaboration and establishing regular security patrols on campus, Igangon Integrated School and its partner stakeholders demonstrate a firm commitment to addressing security concerns head-on, restoring peace of mind for families, and fostering a safe, supportive environment for learners.
