The College of Hospitality Management proudly celebrates the successful culmination of the internship program of our Hospitality Management students at Grand Sierra Pines Hotel, Baguio City, last April 2026.

This milestone reflects the hard work, dedication, and professionalism demonstrated by our students as they gained valuable hands-on experience in a real hospitality environment.

We are especially proud to share that two (2) of our interns were successfully absorbed as employees by Grand Sierra Pines Hotel even before the completion of their internship program—a remarkable testament to their competence, work ethic, and the quality of training they received from both the institution and the industry.

The 1st Year College of Hospitality Management (CHM) students of General de Jesus College successfully participated in the “Culinary Masterclass Technique” in partnership with Evolve University Class last April 11, 2026 at General de Jesus College.

This meaningful and enriching activity was conducted as partial fulfillment of the students’ requirements for the course HPC 1 Kitchen Essentials and Basic Food Preparations, initiated and spearheaded by Mr. Bernie G. Mauro, with the full support and collaboration of Mr. Leuz Rafael S. Alacon and Mr. John April G. Agulan. The event was successfully organized by the 2nd Year CHM students of General de Jesus College as part of their requirement for their Events Management course, demonstrating excellent teamwork, leadership, creativity, and event coordination skills.

The culinary workshop aimed to equip students with the essential foundational knowledge and practical skills needed in the culinary and hospitality industry. Throughout the activity, students actively engaged in hands-on demonstrations and culinary exercises focusing on:

🔪 Proper handling and mastery of Basic Knife Skills
🥕 Accurate ex*****on of Basic Vegetable Cuts
🧂 Understanding the importance of Mise en Place in maintaining kitchen organization, cleanliness, preparation, and efficiency
🐔 And the highlight of the activity, the Deboning of Chicken, where students showcased patience, precision, discipline, and proper culinary techniques in poultry preparation.

Beyond technical learning, the masterclass emphasized the importance of professionalism, teamwork, discipline, time management, and confidence inside the kitchen, values that are essential in becoming competent future hospitality professionals.

The College of Hospitality Management extends its sincerest appreciation to Evolve University Class, the faculty members, organizers, facilitators, and students whose efforts and dedication contributed to the success of this remarkable culinary learning experience.
