The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) informed this Office of the latest PAGASA-DOST weather advisory which reflects no improvement of rainfall status due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon Rains (Habagat).

Actual monitoring and coordination with the thirty-one (31) barangays likewise confirmed that light to moderate rains have been continuously experienced and persist up to the present.

The wide cloud formation over Mindanao is expected to bring light to moderate rains with isolated heavy downpours in the afternoon. As a result, the CDRRMO is on the lookout for possible flash floods or landslides and is undertaking necessary precautions, including the monitoring of rising water levels in the Pulangui River and its tributaries.

In view of the foregoing, and upon the recommendation of the CDRRMO, the suspension of classes in all levels in the City of Valencia on 28 August 2025 (Thursday) is hereby declared. All school authorities are directed to ensure the safe and orderly implementation of this directive.

The public is further advised to take precautionary measures and avoid unnecessary travel to prevent untoward incidents, as rains are expected to persist throughout the day.
