We proudly welcome Dr. Ma. Leonora C. Sta. Ana as Director for the Bulacan Center for Social History; Mr. John Paul C. Valdez as Director for the Aerobic Rice Center; Engr. Benjie C. The Department of Economy, Planning, and Development (DEPDev), as Secretariat to the National Innovation Council (NIC), invites eligible government organizations to submit proposals for innovation programs, activities, and projects (PAPs) to be funded under the 2025 Innovation Grants.

This initiative is designed to promote innovation as a key driver of national development and economic growth, particularly in supporting marginalized communities and integrating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) within both domestic and global supply chains, in accordance with Republic Act No. 11293 or the Philippine Innovation Act.

๐Ÿ“‹ Who are Eligible to Apply?
ยท National Government Agencies (NGAs) โ€” including attached agencies, regional offices, and operating units;
ยท Local Government Units (LGUs) โ€” including local universities and colleges (LUCs);
ยท State Universities and Colleges (SUCs); and
ยท Government-Owned and โ€“Controlled Corporations (GOCCs).

๐Ÿ’ก What Types of Proposals are Funded?
Proposals are welcome in any of these areas:
ยท Pre-commercialization, commercialization, or diffusion activities;
ยท Innovation facilities and services;
ยท Promotion of innovation culture and capacity-building; and
ยท Innovation policy development and administration.

Her study examines the potential of vetiver grass to mitigate the allelopathic effects of mahogany trees, which hinder biodiversity in their vicinity, and explores its role in enhancing the survivability of bell pepper plants grown beneath them.
